Oh my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god. I got this game from random steam key bundle... I bought it because i like new "deep in steam" games BUT THIS ONE IS WORST I HAVE EVER PLAYED. And ♥♥♥♥ god I am done. This game looks nice in pictures even the reviews are good but they are FAKE. Because this game has HUGE map. BUT you will spawn in corner of it and you are not able to get somewhere where is something so you can for 5 minutes and get killed by zombie because u have only knife. I have died like 10 times and never even spotted any house or loot. So PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. REVIEWS ARE FAKE AND GAME IS UNPLAYABLE... REPEAT UNPLAYBLE
Ran around for 9 minutes in the dark and fog getting attacked by zombies in the ♥♥♥♥♥ black finding nothing. No inventory or crafting system. No running implemented into the game.

As I entered the game, the first thing I noticed was the INCREDIBLY HIGH quality of the game models and the use of the only video game engine, Unreal Engine 4. I clicked new game and my heart was struck with admiration when I experienced the sheer amount of options available to customize the character. I spent what felt like a millennium creating the perfect specimen for what was sure to be a WHALE of a time. I entered into the actual game and found myself surrounded by darkness and some trees. Given my knowledge of the popular fanfiction, Minecraft (Dream x George x Technoblade) I figured I would have to punch the tree, but alas, this was not the case. Scared and confused, I continued on my way through the trees until I came face to face with my first enemy. His name was Mr. Zombie, at least that's what I named him. Our battle was, to use a term from the game's graphic settings, epic. I clicked relentlessly and I was down to a sliver of health when I triumphed against the menace. I celebrated my victory by dying to another zombie. This experience shaped my views on life and the nature of the universe. The darkness of the game obviously corresponded to the darkness of space. I sat, eyes transfixed to my monitor for at least 4 and a half seconds before I started again to try and claim victory against this White Whale. It was after 2 more attempts, neither more successful than my first, when I realized that some things should probably be left lone. Overall, this was a truly enchanting (like the Minecraft game) experience and the only thing I'd recommend more is CBT (♥♥♥♥ and ball torture)
Warning: Asset Flip!
ZAR is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Engine asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. This asset flip is an extremely badly done "survival" game (ripped off from someone's survival game template and implemented badly with a few flipped zombie assets on it). The Russian asset flipper couldn't get the template right so the lighting is off and everything is dark, rendering the asset flip mostly unplayable. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. PancakeGames/Piece Of Voxel have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Top Truck Driver" = Hill Racing Template developed by Janko Knez (as Stas Paty9mkin)
"DuelVox Max Quality" = Western Desert Town developed by KK Design
"Hoples" = Pixel Adventure 1 developed by Pixel Frog
"Kings and Pigs" = Kings and Pigs developed by Pixel Frog
"Kings and Pigs Prequel" = Kings and Pigs developed by Pixel Frog
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. ZAR didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for killing anything, trivial to get, but less than 15 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. ZAR has the farcical price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
Profile Features Limited!
Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
This game is not worth even .99. The map is useless, doesn't show where you are and the flashlight doesn't light up much of the area that you are in. I have yet to make it very far from the mountain start point before being killed. Maybe I just need a difficulty setting that is easier.

This game is not good, and I played it for much too long. The controls are only explained in the menu. There is no running, and no stamina. Food and water meters are absolutely pointless, as the Zombies you kill drop food and water and you have to kill zombies constantly. There is no music; there is only sound effects, and there are no sound effects from currently walking Zombies. Good luck getting slapped from behind because you didn't see a Zombie in the darkness following you for about half a mile. The game does not clearly explain that you START with 3 weapons: a knife, a pistol, and a stronger pistol that looks like an AR. It is semi automatic. There is no reason to use the pistol - Zombies will drop fresh ammo as you kill them, so you will never run out. The knife is NEVER to be used, as there is no kiting mechanic in the game and you will lose half of your health to a single Zombie. When you first start the game, you'll have "EPIC" quality graphics. These make the game unable to see, unless you have the magical flashlight in the trailer enabled. You can remove the "EPIC" quality shadows, and you can see in the world. When you near the town, the shadows will dissipate. I have no idea why. There must be an ingame currency somewhere, but I cannot see it. When I finally made my way to the town (after 10 minutes of walking in a straight direction in a poorly conceived map of the world which is also unnecessary, considering there is nothing to explore), I attempted to purchase health and guns, to which I found I was spending an unknown currency I must have been collecting somewhere. Very poorly explained. The gun I purchased made no difference in combat. It was the M16 modeled gun that functioned exactly as the previous starting AR. I did not get to purchase a shotgun. In fact, I did not get to select the gun I purchased. It just gave me a gun. The shovel wielding zombie in the cemetery is way too fast, and it seemingly has a large amount of health. This is not to mention that he will drain your health very quickly. Due to the lack of sprinting mechanic, you will die to zombies as they move faster than you, if you don't kill them as soon as they appear. The cosmetic choices make you look like a big, bloated baby. It's funny. 1/10
I'm not sure what keeps killing me, because the lighting is so bad I can't see anything
Нормальная вещь. Но на долго не затягивает.
