i can only recommend the game if you won't get frustrated from reading the same things over and over again, personally i enjoyed the story so i didn't mind much (besides the whole getting attention thing) anyway the ending drove me insane though, whyyy would they do that
I really like the story and if you don't mind games were you read a lot then I think you'll enjoy it.
A friend of mine on Steam showed me this game about half a year ago, and set of some mixed signals. It looked very interesting, but I have never really been a fan of text-based choose-your-own-adventure games. After playing Your Future Self, however, my opinion changed about text games. It gives you very little information to work with, but sets you up for the game. It's story involving a twisted Earth hits way to close to home for me, because with our living standards, the nightmare it says to you could happen. It's soundtrack is not that much to look at, but always seems to fit the mood of the situation. It's narrative is phenomenal, and the choices I made truly made me feel... Everything. I highly, and can't stress this enough, HIGHLY recommend this masterpiece of a game. It's short, it's moving, and the only downsides I saw were it's popularity and that Contortionist Games hasn't expanded on the game.

Kinda predictable story with meh writing. I just kept going to see how they were going to end it not so much because I was interested in the story, you feel me? Like conceptually it's cool but I feel like they could have done more with it. Spend the 1-2 hours on something else lol.
I liked the game for its interesting setting at the beginning, the development of the story and the ending - and all the confusion in between :D
It's a pretty good short game with a great story that does twist you around in some ways and the music is not bad so are the visuals with its old 90's computer like style showing honestly reminding me of the movie Aliens and how their terminals looked.
Brilliantly creative text adventure that leverages the medium to tell a succinct and compelling narrative. Great stuff!
An awesome little game. It's unique in it's play style and takes text-based storytelling into a whole new level of engagement. I had a lot of fun learning the mechanics and playing through the story. It's a heavy story but also interesting to piece together. There's a nice sense of humour in there too making it a really fun experience.
A good visual novel about confronting your future self. It has a light rpg element to it that helps your progress through the story. The story itself takes you on a roller coaster as you uncover more facts to the point you don't know who the trust anymore. One thing the game needs is alternate endings. The true ending of this game... y'know and with the ability to choose different options for your answers seem to set it up like that but nope, just one ending.
Honestly, the game annoyed me a little bit. Wasn't done poorly, but I personally don't enjoy looping back to the beginning every time a mistake is made.
