Sometimes all you want is a game that knows exactly what it is and doesn't waste your time trying to be something bigger. That's exactly what Yet Another Zombie Defense delivers. The premise couldn't be simpler: survive endless waves of zombies, earn money between rounds, buy better weapons, build barricades, place turrets, and hope your defenses hold until sunrise. That's it. No unnecessary story, no complicated mechanics, no bloated progression systems. Just pure arcade-style zombie survival. At first glance it almost feels too simple. You start with nothing more than a pistol, a single light source to defend, and an empty field surrounding you. The first few waves are easy enough that you might think you've already seen everything the game has to offer. Then the difficulty starts ramping up. Suddenly you're making decisions about whether to spend your money on ammunition, invest in a better weapon, reinforce your defenses, or gamble on waiting for better discounts in future rounds. That simple gameplay loop quickly becomes surprisingly addictive. The biggest strength of the game is definitely co-op. Playing alone is perfectly fine, but with friends the experience becomes something completely different. Everyone is trying to survive while sharing resources, discussing where to place barricades, deciding which weapons are worth buying, and desperately trying to repair mistakes before another wave crashes into your base. Those moments where everything starts falling apart, zombies break through your walls, everyone is screaming over voice chat, and somehow you barely survive with almost no ammo left are what make this game memorable. I also appreciate that the game doesn't try to overwhelm new players. The controls are straightforward, every mechanic is easy to understand, and you can jump into a match within minutes. Despite that simplicity, there's still enough strategy involved to keep each run interesting. Different weapon choices, turret placements, defensive layouts, and perk selections can completely change how your game unfolds. Of course, the game isn't perfect. There's only one main map, enemy variety is fairly limited, and after many hours the repetition definitely starts to show. If you're looking for a deep progression system, dozens of environments, or a cinematic campaign, this isn't that kind of game. The graphics are basic, animations are simple, and visually it won't impress anyone. But honestly... none of those things stopped me from having fun. This is one of those rare budget games that understands exactly what players want. It offers satisfying gunplay, steady progression during each match, meaningful teamwork, and that classic "just one more run" feeling. Considering how cheap (or even free during certain periods) the game has been over the years, it's honestly difficult to complain. The developers also deserve credit for continuing to improve the game after launch. Reading older discussions and comparing them to the current version, it's clear that many community suggestions eventually made their way into the game, which is always nice to see from a small studio. Would I recommend it over modern AAA zombie games? No, because it's trying to achieve something completely different. Would I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun co-op game they can play for a few hours without spending much money? Absolutely. It's simple. It's challenging. It's surprisingly addictive. And somehow, even after dozens of waves, killing "just one more zombie" never gets old.

Petit jeu cool

That's free. And yet, I think I should be paid to try to play that game again. I love tower defense, but that one is the perfect illustration of "annoyance". Ugly, boring, punishing. The coop promise lured me. A few quick minutes made me learn it wasn't a game for me.
