Playing this game in 2026 :D grew up playing the XCOM games but never tried this one til now, story doesnt flow from older XCOM games but has alot of unit based designs similar. Game is quite short in terms of game progression, advise is take your time on missions even though game tends to make you feel rushed to get to end when really there is lots of time. Alot of glitchy programming like enemy able to see you behind a wall and attack through wall like its not there. But once you get used of the glitches and how to avoid them its a fun game to play. There are certain game elements that cant be used unless have new soldiers and when you spent whole first half of game getting good soldiers was no motivation to redo from scratch to get abilities that really dont need. Overall 7/10
I bought XCOM 2 collections years ago during a Steam sale, but my first experience was terrible. The game constantly crashed, was full of bugs, and even corrupted my save file, preventing me from progressing. After dozens of frustrating hours, I gave up and uninstalled it. Fast forward a few years, after the 2K Launcher was removed, I decided to give it one more chance. I'm so glad I did. This time, the game ran smoothly from start to finish with zero crash, and I finally got to experience what so many people had been praising for years. XCOM 2: WotC is an absolute masterpiece of turn-based strategy. Every mission kept me on the edge of my seat, every decision mattered, and losing a veteran soldier genuinely hurt. The expansion adds so much depth that it feels like the definitive way to play XCOM 2. If you're a strategy fan and skipped this game because of the old technical issues, I'd say it's absolutely worth giving it another shot. Underneath those early problems is one of the greatest strategy games ever made. Now that I've finished it, I'm even more excited for **Star Wars Zero Company**, developed by Bit Reactor—a studio founded by many of the talented developers behind XCOM. And finally... **99% chance to hit is still not 100%.**
Complete and fun single and multiplayer game that uses strategy in a turn-based military game. The 4 levels of difficulty ensure that you are always challenged. The easiest level is great for players that enjoy the content more than pushing their gaming skills to the limit. It is an older game but excellent resolution and processing speed. Highly recommended! The DLC's are definitely worth it. The War of the Chosen should have been a separate game but they included it as a DLC. It changes everything. Play XCOM2 then play WOTC. Two games in one!
