Golden age of gaming if you ask me... ; ) Nice strategy based environment. Playing in IRONMAN mode makes it more challenging. Works great on Linux systems (ZORIN).

This game can burn in the fiery, dung filled, pit from which it spawned. I would rather attempt a lobotomy with a q-tip on myself than play this steaming pile. My soldier with a GATLING GUN missed a 95% shot at the rear flank of and alien, but wait it gets better, he is then mind controlled by the same alien and proceeds to kill my other soldier 7 squares away. When I attacked I was 3 squares away. At least buy me dinner before you screw me. I think I paid $3 for this game, and everyday I think of how I miss that 3 dollars because I could have bought so many things that would give me joy, like a q-tip. Aa Rolph would say, "may this games ancestors fester with the rage of olives!"

I tried to like this game but they've just made it ridiculous - the missed shots aside the game intentionally tries to mislead you to do the main quest when you are not ready, important upgrades are hidden in layers of menus, it's not clear if a mission is skippable ot not... I can go on

Have been a fan of this series. excellent turn base strategy games
