This game has the worst bots ever Literry they just kill you very fast And dont play this game this game is trash And there are zero people playing the game
To me this game is much more like Day of Defeat than anything else. Judging this like its a $60 AAA title is unfair and suggests some unrealistic expectations. Even with that said, I reluctantly cant recommend the game. I say reluctantly, because I think this was probably a very small team that put a log effort into this. I dont think it is a simple asset flip. The art is obviously a Polygon pack from the Unity Asset store. (I own it to), but I think the developer attempted to add value beyond the assets. First, have no problem with the art style. I know it is using art from the Unity Asset store and probably Mixamo animations, but who cares? The art style is consistent and looks good for what it s. If the style doesnt suit you, than cool, but I don't think it objectively sucks at all. The level design does a pretty good job of making the levels feel very active with a lot of background activity like paratroopers jumping in, machine guns blazing (for visual effect only). Concerning the UI, I think the in-game UI and menu system were competently. Again, it feels a lot like Day of Defeat. A lot of things were done well for this effort, but there are some problems that make the game not so fun. I do think the some of the environment models needed to be tweaked for game play purposes. The cross beams in the windows make for an annoying obstruction. Also, I found it difficult to get through door ways and upstairs because of how narrow they were. As for the sound, my biggest complaint is the use of the Unreal style announcer voice and visual badges seems really out of place with the style of the game and more applicable to an Arena shooter. Gameplay wise, I couldnt figure out why I didnt start with a descent primary weapon. Starting with an axe and a pistol made no sense to me, and it wasnt obvious to me how to get a better weapon. I couldnt even scavenge anything from dead opponents (who were all bots because NOBODY is playing this game online. Shooting down sights also seemed to obscure more of the screen than in other other games. I only observed this with the pistol because I couldnt figure out how to get a descent weapon. Similiarly to the Unreal announcer voice, the kill streaks didnt make much sense to me in a WWII setting. There were no UAVs in WWII. Weird choice to include UAVs and attack helicopters in a game about WWII. I dont think I am being picky here, they really stick out as out of place. Other oddball weirdness: For some reason, when I created a new game, my own team started shooting me. I dont know why that happened either. Overall, the problems the game has made it very difficult to play it and enjoy it. I wish I could recommend it because I think this was an attempt at something much better than an "asset flip" and it just didn't come together.

Asset flip multiplayer FPS games get much, much worse than this. At least WWII Rising is somewhat playable and occasionally even fun if you play against real people. The stitched together systems, mechanics, and assets into this not-very-coherent mess feels like it was thrown together by someone new to game development -- perhaps a young teen? The playerbase is non-existent and the game itself is unremarkable in nearly every way. It's not so terrible that it's a worst-of-all-time game worthy of laughs. The asset flip is also not blantant theft of an entire project & dumping it on Steam. There does seem to be at least some rudimentary choices being made regarding which parts of what packs to utilize in the finalized product. GRADE: F / Incomplete
Before I played WWII: Rising, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
