The games not for everyone i guess. I'm only having 32 hours so far, got 5 toons to 60 with maxed weapons and some maxed 5 star echoes. So probably can't tell alot about the game but so far, playing the team i build is very fun and enjoyable. But the more i go on with the storyline the less i can play my team what feels completly stupid. I don't like to play the main char and i don't even have her/him in my team. The last 6 hours i wasn't allowed to play my characters, that i enjoy, a single time. I played f2p and don't have the feeling to be forced to pay money to enjoy it but i also looked up a "5mins before u play" Video on youtube, so i was aware to only upgrade stuff im sure i wanna play later on and didn't wasted lots of resources so far. The story had very few nice moments but overall it's always winning on the edge and lots of drama that is more mediocre or feels very forced. Comparing the quality to anime is not fair due there some really good written animes out there and that would be an insult to compare them. The quality of the writing is more compareable to an mediocre seasons anime. Also alot of stuff u could just press nothing and it continues. Some storybossfights are so extreme premade that it doesnt even matter what u do or play good or bad. One time i tested to just do nothing, standing afk and it still progressed the fight until i won on the edge in an cutscene. Plus: - the bosses in open world feel fun and have some cool looking attacks and mechanics - The synergy between characters is interesting and even in early stage with combinations my damage got like nearly trippled compared to using the starter characters on same level. (i use encore+sanhua+frost dmg pushing support) - Some combinations like main attack pushing characters with an echo cast that ultilize 3 big main attacks get considered in the Damageaddtion of using ultimate before, makin them very mighty and more interesting. - The combat is fast, fluid and kinda fun - Very good graphic style and beautiful enviorments - worked with not a single time stuttering on my laptop on maxed out graphic settings. So for me the performance seemed pretty good. - The building of toons so far is pretty good readable/logical and i don't feel the need to look up guides to play this game. cons: - Very(extreme) forced story with tons of cutscenes and like half of them unnecessary. - Forced characterusage on story to an overdriven point where u ask urself, why i made my own team? - Some cutscenes are not skippable, including ones that give none important story progression information. - U even get a cutscene EVERY single time u unlock a new waypoint. They should implement an option for AUTO-skip on already seen cutscenes. - Just having seen story until beginning of act 3 alrdy got the feeling of recycled stuff more than once. Like chinese dragon in fire-, in light- and waterstyle and act 3 oh suprise , chinese dragon again as earth worm. All with the same air move patterns - They really love this flying snake dragon stigma ^^ For myself this forced characterusage while having plenty of interesting toons in the game is the biggest downpoint so far. If that goes on with the whole story that would be nice to know because then i can quit now before hoping i get to play my own team and main dps i made. If u like the Main character and can enjoy the story bit more than me u probably will enjoy this game with very few downsides. So overall i'd recomment the game and for a F2P model it played very well and is not hitting the shop in ur face or locking important content behind paywall so far. U just have some usual behaviour like giving u more resources for gambling faster the first 10-15 hours and then it feels like getting slower and slower. But for myself it doesn't felt very extreme - i can like f2p roll 10 rolls all ~5 hours just playin the game with no guides not considering starter/daily bonuses. The gatcha system itself felt ok to me. I got two 5 star characters until hour 25 via gambling. If u have gambling issues plus collecting obsession - is maybe the only point where u shouldn't play this :D
i love the combat system i love the world exploring the characters and really excited to do late game content 40 hours isn't even 10% of the game i haven't done much at all if you want to love this game stay playing starting will be slow and boring story wise gameplay is sooo good i wish they do more QOL updates and graphics optimisation my 2070 is suffering i know it's old , good game 9/10 till now i think it will be a 10 if i get too deep in it .
Good game good waifu
