This is actually VERY cool!! Neat little well-written, fun, and quite interesting RPGMaker gem, written in a way that you just don't see much of - humorous, charming yet not over-the-top-silly, if that makes sense! Cool game, will play more sometime, thanks for your efforts dev! :)
I can feel his wrath inside of me...
A friend sent me a screenshot from this game that had me laughing out loud. Glad I picked up the game. This is a top-tier RPG Maker game that stands out with witty dialog, original art, music, and animations, and a unique battle system blending classic turn-based battle and time-based elements (a la Sea of Stars or Super Mario RPG). Don’t be fooled by the funny dialog, though. Wrath of Mynah can really throw down a challenge. There are moments that genuinely require you to grind for a bit or get serious about mastering the battle system. Overall, Wrath of Mynah is one of the most charming and unexpectedly tough indie RPGs I’ve played in a long time. If you like great jokes, smart mechanics, and a bit of challenge, this is a hidden gem well worth your time.
This game is very humorous and well written, very silly and fun. I definitely recommend this RPG game. I found it very enjoyable!!
A quirky RPG with a cast of interesting and humorous characters. I was originally a bit put off by the art style, but then kept playing and realized that it fit the overall theme well and grew to enjoy it. I especially love the brief animated cutscenes. It's a little disappointing that there's no controller support and playing keyboard only made movement a little clunky. I ended up playing mouse only, which takes a little getting used too but worked out well. Gameplay was also a bit better than I was expecting too. I love the mix of classic RPG with interactive features, and it made me feel more engaged in the fights. And some of these fights were challenging, so you can't go in expecting to steamroll everyone. You need to be prepared and know how and when to use your abilities. But for me the best part has to be the characters. Something about them all makes them feel endearing and I genuinely did enjoy their conversations and interactions. They all have this odd silliness, that doesn't feel out of place or too awkward. And there's the occasional heavy moment that does feel impactful, and doesn't contrast too much with the light heartedness. Overall you can tell a lot of effort went into this game, and I do find myself wanting to go back and play more. To be honest I'm not sure if it's worth the $5 price, but if you can catch it on sale it's definitely worth a try.
Funny story, cute cutscenes. The game cannot be facerolled, some of the fights actually require thought.
