About
World of Warships: Legends—the renowned console naval shooter, now on PC.
In World of Warships: Legends, fast-paced action blends with tactical depth. Victory is earned through strategic play, smart positioning, and coordinated teamwork. As a Captain, you can choose from more than 600 historically inspired warships, including legendary vessels from WWII like Yamato, USS Laffey, USS Texas, and many more.
The pace of battle is yours to control, with four ship types that play very differently. Destroyers rely on speed and stealth, battleships on armor and firepower, and cruisers on versatility, while aircraft carriers influence the fight from above, directing air squadrons to project power anywhere on the map. With hundreds of warships from multiple nations—including the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, Italy, and the USSR—there’s always a ship to match your playstyle.
Lead your fleet with over 150 historical and fictional Commanders. Each one features a unique skill tree, allowing you to create specialized builds that fit your ship and your playstyle. If you want a different look, use Commander guises with unique visuals and voiceovers. Customize your Commanders and find the perfect combination to win.
We release major content updates almost every month to ensure there is always something new to explore. Discover everything from powerful new ships and Commanders to unique game modes, ranging from casual PvE events to intense PvP battles. Take part in special collaborations with iconic franchises such as Star Trek and Azur Lane, bringing themed ships, Commanders, and cosmetic content into the game. Complete mission chains, progress through the battle pass, and experience epic War Tales—there is always fresh content for every Captain to enjoy.
With cross-progression, you can link your console or mobile account to Steam without losing progress. Team up with friends on PC, console, or mobile and dominate the high seas together. Some account linking rules may apply—check the FAQ in the community discussions for details.
Legends is beginner-friendly, but prepare for a journey with true tactical depth. While the basics are easy to learn, the game offers many levels of strategy for those who want to dive deep. If you have questions, our in-game wiki, video tutorials, and community channels provide all the answers you need. Play exactly how you want with full support for keyboard, gamepad, and handheld devices, including Steam Deck.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

COMBAT ACTIONS AND GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME...
macht süchtig
I played World of Warships Legends for a long time on PlayStation. I don't have that console anymore, and when this came to PC I was very excited. Warships legends is a bit more arcade style than the OG PC game. It's also more user friendly if you ask me, gameplay wise. It looks great on PC, and runs super smooth for me. There are some odd rare lag spikes, but being a fan also of World of Tanks, it's not my first rodeo with this. Gameplay wise, it's fun. A lot of fun. I work hectic hours sometimes and it's nice to come home and play some quick matches before I pass out. PvP could use some work. Matchmaking is like any other Wargaming game where it's always a gamble. One match you get a great team, the next you really wish you were on red team instead. It's tough sometimes to enjoy PvP when your teammates saw the Leroy Jenkings video and said "yeah let's do that". It's still fun, but expect some frustration. Expect a grind like any Wargaming game. The tech trees Tier VI and beyond are a bit of a grind, playing with a division helps. I kind of wish Wargaming just kept the PvE Operations mode War Tales around 24/7 as it's an excellent way to grind the tech tree ships. Commanders are also the other grind of this game. Specifically, promotion orders and insignias can hold back leveling up a Commander. Weekly quests help, but you've gotta keep up on them otherwise you'll be like me with over two million commander XP, and not enough promotion orders or insignias half the time. The only thing that Legends just like anything else made by Wargaming has issues with, is its premium shop. Not everything is terribly priced. While not on PC yet hopefully, on other platforms for $10 a month you get 30 days premium, some boosters, and 2,750 doubloons which is more than needed for each month 's campaign. For me, that's perfect. That allows me to play the campaign each month to get the goodies. Their ship prices are a bit more whack. Ranging from some starter packs for $3, but getting as high as $100+ for one ship at higher tiers. I haven't ever bought a high tier ship, only just done the campaign ships or got lucky with a free box. I strongly recommend others do the same, as spending $100 for a single ship isn't worth it if you ask me. But, where the purchases fall short is their limited time events. Specifically, anything crossover. Wargaming has gotten a bit out of hand with these. Star Trek, my favorite TV show of all time, for example needed around 70k doubloons for all the items. That's about $250 USD+. Now, the Azure Lane event with all seven ways back, is almost $1,000 USD for all of them. Sure, you could buy the lootboxes and gamble to spend less but I'm not here to gamble. I am here to have fun. Overall I still recommend World of Warships Legends. It's a fun time, especially with friends. Wargaming needs to bring the $10 a month offer ASAP that includes the premium and doubloons as I think that's a fantastic offer PC players deserve as well. But the game does have its faults with the not so great matchmaking, and it's crazy premium shop prices. If you get into this game, I highly recommend at least not go crazy spending. Grinding the tech tree is the best way to get experienced at this game.
