Maybe because I insist on Linux, but this game has a lot of easily corrupted save files and crashes
I like the overall idea of the game and the ambitious theme behind it, but in practice it feels far too heavy to play. The amount of tiny details and micromanagement makes it difficult to enjoy, and the game doesn’t really guide the player — everything has to be learned the hard way. Even the tutorials feel overwhelming. It’s a great concept, but the execution is simply too demanding for my taste.
Really good overall. but pedestrian bridges are useless and sewage pipes are a nightmare to work with. I love how the game just works with 24GB worth of mods when the game itself is only around 10GB. Even on computers that don't cost a fortune and a half.
Wow this game is addictive and very VERY difficult. It's so difficult that at one point I almost considered giving it a negative review and giving up, but eventually I learned to love it. The pros: Placing every single building and road is pretty unique to this game as a city builder. You get to watch as your vehicles deliver resources to each building and workers you bus in construct them. Every success and mistake is your own as you watch your citizens drown in garbage and die because you forgot to tell your newly built technical office stocked to the brim with garbage trucks where to dispose of said garbage. The cons: There are no conditions for logistics. If you have a heating plant for your city you have now way of telling your busses to stop running a route bringing workers to it beginning May and start said route up again in late September. If you have a brick making facility but have 900 tons of bricks in storage you have no way to tell your workers to stop sitting around and doing nothing at the factory. You become locked into your designs with upgrading being very tedious and slow. Nothing, not even citizens, can travel on a road or path as it gets upgraded. There's no such thing as walking on the grass next to the path during an upgrade at the speed of a mud path. There is no paving one side of a road at a time leaving one lane open. It makes upgrading anything very annoying. I don't care if anyone says that's realistic or not. It's annoying and bad and that's more important. Overall? I'd recommend this game. It's going to take you a hundred hours to learn how to play it, but it's the best city builder I've played.

The game has tons of potential, but it's clunky AF. If you want to do anything over a road (add a bus stop, conveyor crossing, etc.), you have to destroy the road first, then build it, then reconnect the road. Metro trains can have junctions above ground, but not below. Workers would rather stay unemployed and freeze to death than show up at work at the heating plant, sending your entire civilization into a death spiral. Then there are a bunch of buildings that take no workers at all that catch you by surprise--farms require zero workers if you have trucks/tractors/combines--not even to drive the vehicles. Snowplows and distribution centers also "just work" with zero workers. If you guessed fire trucks work without workers you'd be mistaken--it takes 20+ firemen per truck to put out a fire, assuming they don't freeze to death first. I paid $10 for the game on sale and I would have been very upset if I paid $40 for this game and happy I waited. It has been "released" for two years now, but still feels like an unpolished early access game. I played the tutorials before starting the campaign, only to find out the campaign is effectively more tutorials. The game feels like it had a team of 5 developers working on it that never spoke to each other, each going their own direction. Additionally, the game will also crash intermittently with no error messages or otherwise--it will simply just exit like alt+f4.
