First you get the workers. Then you get the resources. Then you get the power.
after the update my game crashes after 80 seconds when i load my city
I found this game precisely as inspiring as its title implies. It bears almost no resemblance to the games it gets compared to; it plays far more like a local council simulator. One burdened with an exhausting level of detail attached to processes (like waste management) that nobody could reasonably be expected to care about. The developers seem to have aimed for maximum realism without stopping to consider whether any of it was actually fun. Add in the fact that the visuals are equally uninspiring, and the core gameplay loop consists of replicating endless layers of bureaucracy, and it wasn't long before I questioned why I wasn't just doing my actual job instead. If you genuinely demand this degree of control over where your biological waste ends up, you have far more pressing issues to address. Not for me... I’ll be recommending it to my line manager, though,. They'll love it!
AMAZING
Lo super recomiendo,. Me encanta ver a mis ciudadanos sufrir de pobreza y revolcarse en su propia mierda <3.
Honestly a great game. I really enjoy starting with literally nothing and working my way up to a, mostly, self sufficient nation.
I think this might be my first Review ever in over 12 years of steam, that has some meaning because i didnt even left a review for factorio, the hands down best builder in history. The first 2 years after EA i didnt played the game cuz i didnt liked the graphics, the soviet style building and so on, but boy oh boy was i wrong, in short: I love workers and ressources, this game is one of the few games like factorio that can make you addicted, i mean. really addicted.. playing 8 hours feels like 20 minutes addicted. BUT only in realism mode!! dont bother starting with instant building, just hopp into realism and let you get crushed a few times, after you overcome the extrem learningcurve, this game is amazing. Building your first functional city let you feel like a real life cityplaner, like you deserved to be Major irl or something, the first trains, the first industries, its always something you have to do, to fix, to plan, to build, to manage, and also to watch, just watching and enjoying what you`ve build. Workers and Ressources is just the perfect blend between Factorio and City Skylines. But i have also a Major Downside.. at some point its easy to lose the motivation to grow your industries, or build more citys or expand to other regions of the map. At some point you have so much money, that is doesnt matter anymore, every building from there on is basically just cosmetic and doesnt have any purpose anymore. this is the reason why im able to write my first ever review and not playing the game but i have the perfect solution for this Problem: Dear Devs, i think you heared this many times already, and i also read some time ago that you guys are more or less finished with the game, but pleeeaseeee let us have our Spaceprogram. Let us Build Rocketindustries and rockets, let us have rocketstarts and the whole logistic behind, special parts and ingredients that cannot just be bought at the border, let us use our millions upon millions of credits in the lategame to buy rocketstart permissions, funding the science with money that is needed for development and so on, and dont hold back, let it be EXPENSIVE AF. <--because than: THE CITY MUST GROW! i know thats asked for a alot, but this game just needs it to become a masterpiece. You guys are 90% there. greetins comrades
I've played this game for 7 or 8 years now..? I knew from the beginning this will be the most satisfying city / transport builder back then, but what that modest team did over these years is beyond any expectations! The game is a combination of city building, logistics and industries. It's a perfect combination of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, SimCity2000 and Industry Giant. New players should start with no water/waste/maintenance/fires management. Over the years devoted fans got extremely overcomplicated game, so do keep that in mind. Game is extremely flexible, if you feel it's too easy (good luck!) you can just add disabled modes in game. Very few updates (if any..?) broke previous saves and required re-starts. The amount of stock vehicles is astonishing. Game starts as early as 1920. Then the workshop content kicks in... Do I need to say more? Ships. Trains. Buses. Personal cars. Shops. Factories. Heating plants. Great soundtrack (controversial point, but I guess Russian culture never physically invaded my neighbour). Never ending workshop contents. Updates years after 1.0. Hesitance of creators to make more paid DLC's when people complain that this game is simply too much worth for their money as the devs say "we're financially OK - it's fine - no worries". Head of studio, Peter, personally answering e-mails about bug reports - all of the ones I've submitted so far were not bugs but an missing overlook of game complex mechanics on my side. I'm not saying the game is bugless, but for such a complex sim it's incredibly stable. Just buy it, immerse in it and thank me later! Don't go full-on hard mode, slowly add water; then maintenance if confident; leave waste for last. This game is complex AF. EDIT: How could I forgot to mention Aircrafts (western & soviet, incl. TU-144!!), lots of helicopters, tourism (Tropico vibes)... Everyone will find something here!
