About
Woodswalker is an entirely solo-developed first-person survival horror game in which you've just been hired as a night ranger in the Cook County forest preserves. You must frantically balance your own survival with saving the lives of the innocent campers under your domain.
Frantic Gameplay - Throughout the night, the monster will become increasingly aggressive. You will have less and less time to read your messages, decide its importance, and make it to the light before your fate is sealed.
Many Secrets - Explore a detailed story through puzzle-solving. Use environmental clues and good thinking to unlock boxes, find new cassette tapes, enter hidden areas, and locate secrets.
A Dark, Wintry Atmosphere - Immerse yourself into the surroundings with attention to detail on sound and lighting.
Replayability - With 18 hidden achievements, a rich, secret-filled storyline, and maybe even a hidden difficulty, there is plenty to keep yourself busy with.

game doesnt really explain what to do. its a cycle of do work, then die. either im dense as a rock, or this game plain out sucks. (it'd be easier if the game explained stuff more, or was more simple. i cant be too upset since it is free, but this feels more like a college project rather than an actual game.
This game is quite fun overall. The graphics are decent, and I really enjoyed reading the various clues scattered around the office, they add a nice layer of mystery to the environment. It also managed to scare me a couple of times; both times I died to the monster, I genuinely jumped because it was so sudden and unexpected. That being said, I don’t fully understand the premise of the game. After failing twice, I even checked the Steam store page to see if I was missing something, but I still couldn’t figure out what I was actually meant to do beyond turning on the lights in different areas. I had no idea what the code for the box was, and I basically died instantly without understanding why. This might just be me, but a bit more clarity on the core objective or at least what triggers the monster would go a long way. I agree with another review regarding the tape audio. The voice acting is great and I understood what was being said, but the information comes at you quickly and there are no subtitles to help you keep track of it. Subtitles would make a big difference, especially since the tape seems important for understanding the game. I love how the game starts directly from the menu’s visual, it’s a stylish touch. I also appreciate the warning at the beginning; it sets the tone well and shows care for the player. This game is genuinely gripping, and I’d love to play more once I understand what I’m supposed to be doing. A bit more explanation about the mechanics, the objective, and what exactly gets you killed would make the experience far more accessible. As it stands, it’s fun and intriguing, but a little confusing — though that may just be me.

the game gets kinda repetitive after a while, just get called/fax and turn the light on and then go outside to get rid of the monster, it does get harder with the faster spawn time with the monster and the faster call/fax time later in the game and the choosing what lights to keep on and turn off is a good feature later on the tape is a little quiet and i couldn't understand everything the man said and the area around the cabin in the circle is a little bland with 1 tiny tree and some grass pieces and the inside of the cabin is also bland, i do like the board with the newspaper and other pieces of paper, the graphics are pretty decent but when the brightness is all the way down makes it impossible to see outside so thats cool if you want the game on hard mode, i don't know how long you have to play the game to get the ending because there's no indicater telling the player how long you have to do it, but other than that it's a pretty decent first game for a beginner it does get stressful later on, plus the calls/fax sometimes has the camper worried and also give a little laugh
Woodswalker, hızlı düşünmenin kilit önem taşıdığı strateji tabanlı bir hayatta kalma korku oyunudur. Çevrenizi dikkatlice dinleyin, arama ışığınızla kendinizi savunun, sınırlı gücünüzü idareli kullanın ve ormanın gerçeklerini keşfetmek için çevresel bulmacaları çözün.
The guy who made this game will never be forgiven
This game definitely has potential. my only suggestions is to make the game play more clear from the cassete tape make it more clear what you need to do to actually save people and add more monsters and ways of dealing with them and also make calls and faxes less frequent
Neatish idea, not much walking like i'd hoped. the tedium of the gameplay is a huge issue. I assume there's more to it but after dying for no discernable reason a long time into the night i couldn't bring myself to try again to see if there was a story because of the amount of time spent frantically doing stuff with no feedback or ways to tell if something was progressing. There seemed to be puzzles in the cabin but I'm not sure if you are meant to solve them especially since there is certainly no time to when the game starts its endless loop of the same thing. I wasn't particularly given reason to fear the tree other than dreading losing all progress(assuming progress actually happened). The atmosphere and setting seemed cool so i hope the dev does more horror stuff, just preferably with gameplay that is able to keep you interested. I liked the kitty
