Сильной стороной игры является ее атмосфера и ощущение свободы. Вы действительно чувствуете себя частью этого мира, а ваши действия влияют на развитие событий. Система крафта позволяет создавать необходимое снаряжение и оружие, что добавляет глубины игровому процессу. Однако, стоит отметить некоторые недостатки. Сюжетная линия не отличается особой оригинальностью, а искусственный интеллект противников иногда оставляет желать лучшего. Также, в игре встречаются мелкие баги и недоработки, которые, впрочем, не сильно портят впечатление. В целом, 'Wolf West' – это достойный представитель жанра survival-action, который способен доставить удовольствие любителям вестернов и игр про выживание. Если вы не ждете от игры AAA-качества, но ищете захватывающее приключение в духе Дикого Запада, то 'Wolf West' вполне может вам понравиться. Рекомендую к ознакомлению.

A charming little platformer set in the Wild West staring an adorable wolf and horse duo. All of the visuals are very solid with a simple and cute artstyle for the environments, characters and also cutscenes. The music works well in the background, but is not particularly notable. In terms of controls everything feels decently smooth and I never felt like I took damage or fell of a ledge due to anything other than my own mistakes. You do get a little stuck on ledges of platforms sometimes when trying to jump, but rarely is it in any situation where it would be detrimental and it’s easily remedy by walking a little to the side. While there are only two levels and one boss fight, each level is very expansive with multiple routes to explore, usually split into a path high up, a path on ground level and a path underground overlapping and converging every now and again. Be warned, though not particularly graphic, a wolf dies at the start! There is certainly a dichotomy between the cute graphics and the rather somber story that acts as a backdrop for the gameplay. Outside of the beginning and boss fight cutscene there is some dialogue here and there, though it doesn’t really expand on the story and only adds a little to the worldbuilding. However there is some detailing in the level designs that hint at some additional pieces of lore such as the town seemingly being a mining town of some sort as the caverns underneath indicate. As short of an experience as it is, it’s a fun one and I can definitely recommend it as something to play during a lunch break or otherwise when you got some time to spare.

Controls are unresponsive. You can't hit jump while moving forward and considering the jumping hazards that is rather infuriating.
