DO NOT BUY / PLAY! Publisher / Developer has trademarked the phrase "Hidden Cats" and is now forcing all other Publishers / Developers to change the name of their games, if their game is about, well, finding hidden cats. Although many other games came way before any game Publisher/Dev Nukearts ever created. This is done just to get rid of any competition who, by the way, create way better games than Nukearts will ever be capable to.

The developer decided to be a copyright troll. They somehow got a retroactive trademark registered, bullying other developers into changing names of their games. As this hits indie developers, most won't have the money to fight this. Those who don't get the message in time face to be delisted. So I want to thank Nukearts, the devloper of this game, to make it easier to safe money and not support them in the future. I don't support companies and people making the world an even worse place as it already is.

"WKSP Rumble" is not really a sincerely made game for gamers, instead, it's a "viral attempt" advertisement for a Brazilian ad/creative agency. Do adverts belong on Steam? Obviously not (yet that's what this is). Imagine if hundreds of thousands of flailing businesses had corporate decide to advertise their business by shoving a garbage PC game onto Steam through Steam direct. It would be a nightmare. That's a slippery slope we're standing on if we even remotely try to tolerate this kind of thing. What do you do in the game? This is a simple, trite, bug riddled, minimalist 2D arcade fighter/versus with no real value as a serious game, but that was never the point. The "game" features charicatures of the various staff of the company (many of whom were probably fired for suggesting it would be a great idea to publish a pixelcrap fighting game where the staff physically assault each other as a way to market their company). This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough. Edit: It should be noted the developer is highly toxic and unethical, stole the trademark from a game created a year prior and filed a trademark claim on it and is now trying to attack other developers on Steam for using the trademark he stole. This is legally indefensible because there's prior art of the stolen trademark being used by the original creator... but gamers should know when a developer acts in illegal and deliberately malicious ways.
