The games runs well as is very fun, if not a bit repetitive. Devs, if you're reading this, I'd love some more maps, a multiplayer mode, and some free and paid cosmetics for said multiplayer mode. I feel multiplayer would be a natural fit for this game considering it's souls and rogue like nature.
TREMENDOUS!
Witchfire (Early Access) Review: A Dark Masterpiece in the Making? Witchfire is one of those rare Early Access titles that already feels more polished, confident, and engaging than many fully released games. This dark fantasy first-person RPG-shooter blends the intense gunplay of modern FPS games with the tension, atmosphere, and progression systems of a Souls based game, creating an experience that is both punishing and incredibly rewarding. From the moment you step into its cursed world, Witchfire captivates with its haunting visual design. The environments are drenched in gothic beauty, from mist-shrouded forests and crumbling ruins to nightmarish battlefields teeming with supernatural horrors. In my view, the game looks stunning, and every location feels handcrafted with exceptional attention to detail. The combat is where Witchfire truly shines. Every encounter demands focus, precision, and tactical thinking. Weapons feel powerful and satisfying, enemy designs are memorable, and the blend of firearms, magic, and relics creates remarkable depth. Unlike many shooters that reward reckless aggression, Witchfire encourages players to learn enemy patterns, manage resources carefully, and master its unique combat systems. Its progression is equally compelling. Death carries consequences, but each run provides valuable knowledge and opportunities for growth. Unlocking new weapons, spells, and abilities creates a constant sense of advancement, while the game's risk-versus-reward mechanics make exploration exciting and meaningful. What makes Witchfire especially impressive is how complete it already feels despite its Early Access status. Performance is solid, the core gameplay loop is addictive, and the developers have demonstrated a clear vision for the future. While additional content, areas, enemies, and systems will undoubtedly make the experience even richer, the foundation is already exceptional. If you're a fan of challenging action RPGs, atmospheric dark fantasy worlds, or skill-based shooters, Witchfire deserves your attention. It's an ambitious fusion of genres that largely succeeds in everything it attempts, delivering exhilarating combat, breath-taking visuals, and a deeply satisfying progression system. I would ask however that during the development the past Preyers are developed further as they in essence feel like a bit of an obsolete side story, (I still like it) but I think your decisions should have more of an influence on the rest of the game somehow. I look forward to the next evolution of the game.
incroyable!!!!!
I'm so picky about FPS games and this one is just straight up an all timer.
