About
Wireframe Warfare is a Singleplayer Action/Tower Defense hybrid game created by a solo developer over the course of a year. Blast and strategize your way through various levels, combating waves of viruses attacking Cyber Beacons across the pathways of a digital space.
Tackle 6 different maps and 6 degrees of difficulty, with 7 distinct weapons, 7 varied towers and 75+ Skills to augment your play style!
More maps, weapons, towers and skills to come with future updates!
Tactical Armored Nexus Keeper, or T.A.N.K for short, is a customizable program with several different offensive weapons and modular attachments. During gameplay, you will be controlling your own version of a T.A.N.K, harnessing its power to defend the Cyber Beacons.

Secure Tower Allocation and Network Defense protocol is the foundation of your defense against Viruses. Deploy offensive towers to deal damage, defensive towers to debuff and utility towers to boost your resources.

Use the Skill system to tailor the T.A.N.K program to your play style. Like to take hits and keep going? Boost your defense. Tired of having to refill your health or ammo? Boost those too!
In addition to skills, the T.A.N.K program can also use Attachments. Cosmetic items that boost stats like speed, defense, ramming damage and more. Swap these around to find the combo of Attachments that works best for you!
Make the T.A.N.K program your own with cosmetic items and color variations.

Note from Developer:
"Please be aware that the game currently has some limited settings, such as lacking a Rebind keys option and full controller support. Some users have had luck with Steam Deck usage and I will be expanding upon this in the future.
There are plans to add some additional weapons, towers, skills and maps. So while the game has reached V1.0, there is still more work to be done.
I thank anyone who gives my game a chance and supports my growth as a game developer. I'm only a solo dev and this is my first commercial release, so I look forward to any constructive feedback players can offer.
Please enjoy Wireframe Warfare!"

I have been following the developer throughout the development of this game and it's been really fun to watch. He put a lot of love into crafting this game and reacting to user feedback. The game is really fun. It's a unique mixture of third-person shooter and tower defense. You usually have to support your tower by shooting the enemies yourself, and need the towers to support you too. The progression is really fun! I like that even if you lose a match, you still earn currency to upgrade your tank and buy new weapons. Even if I lose on a map, I get to buy some upgrades and come back stronger. It also runs great on Linux and Steam Deck. I just had to manually set the Proton version. There are some bugs on release, but the Vapor Cat Games Discord has channels for users to report bugs, give feedback, and the developer is actively fixing bugs and making quality of life changes as they get feedback. 10/10 big recommend! I'm excited to watch this game continue to progress.
I haven't played much of this game yet, but from what I've experienced I can say it was well worth the wait! I was so excited when a friend told me this game was in development, I had been awaiting the day this game would come out and I'm so happy it did. At first glance you see a cyber-tank world with a cool soundtrack and visuals, and it seems like it's easy, but you are in for a challenge yet. You have to work in tandem with your towers to successfully pass the levels, as the amount of enemies can get overwhelming very quickly. I also appreciate that the game feels balanced and its not super easy to buy upgrades, it adds a lot of game play for me to enjoy. I have yet to see all the cool upgrades and cosmetics you can buy for your tank but I am excited to play and get them! If I had one thing to highlight in two words, quantum shift. My favorite function, (which i will call a quality of life feature, and the tele-tank), is the quantum shift and it makes moving your tank across the map a lot easier; especially when you have to collect the spoils of war at the end of your battles. I find having to spend tons of time moving across a map in other games takes some enjoyment out of the game for me, so this game avoids that problem directly without you having to buy anything at the start! I will absolutely be playing the living hell out of this game. 10/10 I would recommend again!
Very cool game! Would recommend if you're into tower defense, visually it's so cool looking so that's a plus. Game is intuitive and easy to grasp, music and SFX are also good. Only downside is bugs but that's because it's new. 9.5/10 will play again!
A lovely game from a love game dev UwU
This game is so well done!!! The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is just the right amount of challenging. I'm really excited to keep playing and aim for the coveted 100%
It is a fun game to play, im not huge into TD games, but this one is sure fun to play and, the enemies are interesting. The developer definitely put a lot of time into making it and it shows in the models and game play.
What I love the most about this game is how it nails the computer-matrix-style atmosphere. There's an awesome upbeat soundtrack, and some nicely polished elements such as the smoke during your tank's movement vaporizing into computerized bits. I even found myself exploring the mini cybercity on each map to hunt down some of the collectibles. Mechanically, I like that there's two separate layers of placing down your towers, so that you can ultimately take control of your fate through your own tank abilities. I had to rely on both systems (usually to snipe down flying enemies that slipped past my defenses), so I think the difficulty is fair. Some gameplay elements I couldn't quite figure out -> there's apparently slots for attachments, but I couldn't find anywhere to actually get or purchase any attachments. I appreciate that the developer is still making updates, so looking forward to any improvements!
Interesting take on the standard TD recipe
A fun tower defense game! I really like the retro graphics and music.
I've never been a fan of tower defense games. In college, they'd have us do tower defenses as a first-ish game dev project. I've played too many tower defense games at this point, but Wireframe Warfare was different enough that it was actually entertaining for me to play. There's a nice difficulty curve as you progress, you can't just idle and do nothing and still succeed, and finishing a level after dying 3 times is satisfying. Little bugs here and there, as I was able to get my tank to fly, but that's really more of a "It's not a bug, it's a feature" because of how entertaining that was. All in all, good game, and excited to see what this developer brings out in the future
