This game is very addictive!
Chill and grindy game friendly community
fun game needs some dev love but still very fun to play . Cons no WADS at this time (but they plan on it in the future), very grindy but i really like grindy games so its not bad at all ( i have been in some games the grind was too real this one is just right). Pros super fun game to just chill. bosses fights are ok not to hard once you level up some, crafting ,mining ,fishing, alchemy all easy enough to be fun to do and doesn't take forever to get some good items. People in the game have been friendly no trash chat you have to ignore. All things added up its a great game with some upside coming.

great game updates weekly

Well, maybe when the login doesn't crash the game I will come back and update this review
Well, it's been a long journey, never expected the game to hook me up so much. It's an old school MMO, a lot of grind, no handholding, don't expect auto-navigate to the next quest or daily login rewards - you just figure out your way and grind, it's great if you're looking for that. A lot of negative reviews are about P2W - there is no such thing, you don't get more XP or any benefit from membership, it's more of a free trial for the first 50-100 hours until lvl50+ in every skill, later end-game content is locked behind membership, try the game, if you like it and play a long-time - eventually you need to pay and devs need to eat - makes sense to me.
A true MMO grind done right. If you’ve been missing the feeling of working toward something meaningful like the old days of RuneScape, Winds of Valen absolutely delivers. Every level, every skill, and every achievement feels earned. It’s the kind of grind that’s rewarding rather than mindless, and that’s something I really appreciate. The community has also been fantastic. Players are welcoming, helpful, and genuinely want to see the game and each other succeed. That kind of environment is becoming rare in online games. What impresses me the most is what this small development team has accomplished in such a short amount of time. The amount of content they’ve already added is incredible, and they continue to release meaningful updates while sticking to their roadmap. It’s refreshing to see developers who consistently communicate and follow through on what they promise. The recently added membership is also a great move. The perks are small quality-of-life bonuses and not pay-to-win, which is exactly how it should be. More importantly, it gives the developers a sustainable way to keep growing the game and deliver even bigger and better updates in the future. If you’re looking for an MMO that respects long-term progression, has a passionate community, and is backed by a dedicated dev team that truly cares about its game, Winds of Valen is absolutely worth your time. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
After nearly 700 hours, i can honestly say this game is one of my favourites right now. I like what the 2 man dev team have done so far and how responsive they are to the players. I do understand some of the criticism (not so much that they are charging for membership at this point in development, which seems to be people main issue right now) but a lot of the pain points are being addressed and content is scheduled to be coming faster now that the members update is live. I see the devs vision, where this game is going and where it could go in the future. reminds me of runescape back in the day, with some tweaks and differences. if you like grinding skills, you'll love it. if you like killing bosses and mobs, you'll love it. if you like supplying materials, gear and potions for other players, you'll love it. current pain points are some bugs (mobs getting trapped in the floor is the most obvious) but they are rare and the devs are pretty active in taking care of them. pvp area is lacking content and pvp in general could use some tweaks. some people are upset at the release of the "members" (subscription) part of the game, but for $5 a month i'm enjoying myself a lot and i'm impressed with what the 2 devs have done so far, and glad to pay a little bit to get the ball rolling on content and stuff a bit faster.
