Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR

sucks, plain and simple. i have a reverb g2 and basically need this to play most games, 90% of launches result in lag or a crash using a high end system. the rare game that offers native openXR launch shows how god awful WMR really is.

I remember when I first tried WMR at a Best Buy way back in 2016. The Cliff House and its integrated Windows functions were, and still are, wonderful tools that show the magnitude of potential which VR holds. These can be so much more than single purpose video game portals. With Microsoft using the word "depreciation" to describe what they're doing with these old, affordable headsets I can only hope it means we'll see more of this soon... and it that this isn't the death of a really cool idea. A big thanks to the team continuing to crank out updates for this software. You're a credit to the company you work for. Please, please find a way to make these headsets useable for us once official support ends.

Awesome that at least serious intentions are there to bring VR to linux. Please continue implementing Ubuntu support for VR

Recently, more steam games have opened directly through WMR, cutting out steamvr as the middleman. This should be a good thing, however steamvr has a lot of options for bindings and controller settings that are sometimes necessary for troubleshooting. Also, exiting games from WMR is not an option, you have to quit from the game's menu if the option exists, or just close the game from the desktop.
