6/10 [h1]TL;DR[/h1] Despite not being a fan of this genre this game managed to set achievable goals and feel rewarding thanks to the good controls, decent music, pleasing visuals and proper level design. While I am not much of a highscore chaser you can absolutely do this here and speedrun the heck out of this game. -------------------------------- [h1]Pros:[/h1] [h2]Overall look and feel[/h2] [list] [*] Music overall good, not a single bad song and two of them are bangers [*] Pleasing to the eyes [*] Very Stable 240 fps, even the 1% low never dropped below 220 for me [/list] [h2]Gameplay[/h2] [list] [*] Multiple ships with different stats that change the approach to each level drastically [*] Multiple force fields that are located on the maps change the way your ship behaves and can trip you up [*] Diverse group of enemies with different behaviours [*] Movement feels nice [*] Dashing through tiny gaps and finding better angles and combos to fly through feels good [*] Level design is good [*] Every single level is short with their own challenge - there is no need to repeat the same section hundreds of times once you mastered it [*] The border is dynamic and changes constantly - you can totally cheese certain levels by dodging the border [*] Challenges require some path optimizations or the usage of different ships while remaining achievable [/list] [h2]QoL[/h2] [list] [*] Music doesn't stop at the end of a level, but keeps playing until the song is over to proceed with the next one [*] Level restart is super snappy and just a few ms [*] Cycling through the ships at the start of each level is performed with a single button [/list] -------------------------------- [h1]Cons:[/h1] [h2]Bugs + missing QoL[/h2] [list] [*] Mouse isn't captured in game. The mouse is used for dash and rapid change in direction.
