Fun
White Knuckle is easily my favorite climbing game. The fluidity of movement is top-notch. The level design is generous with holds - most anything that looks grabbable is - letting you focus on speed. Each level is made of several shorter sections that are randomized each run which, combined with the various perks and tools to aid you, makes each run feel fresh. The extra games mode and additional challenges provide hours of interesting gameplay that's a little different from the main story route. It's easy to forget that this game is in early access. There's also an element of exploration that's not immediately obvious from the trailers. Especially when you're first learning the levels, scouring the nooks and crannies is often rewarding. The narrative thread told through the environment adds to the daunting, apocalyptic atmosphere.
