One of the most beautiful games out there. Each story is so sad and seeing each perspective through an artistic and for some a childish view was amazing. I had watched gameplays of this game repeatedly when I was younger but finally getting to play it is a whole different experience. It makes all the stories feel so much more impactful. Everything feels so much more gut wrenching getting to experience the family's thoughts and each story is uniquely built and told. The game is so amazing and gave me a very bittersweet feel playing it for the first time and reliving all the stories again for the first time in years. <3

Giant Sparrow's [i]What Remains of Edith Finch[/i] is a remarkable interactive story that would be hard-pressed to leave any player without a tear or many in their eyes. Uncovering each of the Finches' narratives is an unforgettable journey, [spoiler]particularly the explicitly stated, devastatingly plausible and gut-punching stories of Gregory and Lewis, while tales of Molly and Barbara took me time to fully click before the true emotion hit[/spoiler], and one that I would highly recommend. [i]Edith Finch[/i] is a must-play title, and my recommendation is to play this alone and in one undistracted session.

The characters, environmental story telling, and writing blend together almost perfectly creating an absolutely beautiful narrative that profoundly impacted me. I'll be thinking of this experience long after I set the game down.

★★★★☆ Surely after the second or third kid the police would get involved, no? I sobbed okay yes I actually sobbed. the way that What Remains of Edith Finch plays with its word and its storytelling is such a beautiful and unique technique that makes every scene flow together so well and makes the entire game so much more enjoyable to play. Edith Finch is quite a short game (it took me 2 and a half hours to fully go through it) and each second feels so memorable!

Peak storytelling, mediocre gameplay and amazing music 9/10

This has been in my library for many years. Today I just needed something light to fill a gap between games. Turns out it was anything but light. I havent stopped crying for 30m now. My mom is going through cancer currently at 74yrs old, I had cancer in 2020, and my husband in 2022. This game hit me so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard in the feels. Ive never been so emotional from a "game". Reminder to live for today, say what you want and mean it, stop putting things off for another day, and be present.
