Never heard of this game in my entire life until a few days ago, and I gotta say it was one of the best game purchases I've ever made. I never thought I was into these types of games where you're mainly just walking around and finding stuff out, but the game is so effective at this and actually makes me wish there was more.
To start off this game is really creative. The way it portrays how it wants to tell their story in different ways is so aspiring to me. Every story told is different and unique, gameplay-wise especially, which helps this game really stand out from others. The story here is also pretty shocking as well, with some mysterious having my jaw completely dropped when revealed.
This is also just a personal thing with me but I really enjoy how you don't just press a button and a door opens, or press a button and you flip a page. With this game a lot of the interactable items are really interactive with the mouse, for example, to open a door you have to move the mouse up to continuously open the door. I know more games do this now, but for this to release in 2017 and apparently already have that feature is awesome, that's just a personal thing with me.
The environment is also beautiful, especially once you walk up to the main house, the scenery around it is mesmerizing. Sometimes I take a moment to just look at my surroundings before continuing with the game.
Now my only negative is that I feel this game is to good to be this short!! I finished the game in around 2 hours (I'll probably go back for achievements), but I feel that for some people a 2 hour game for a base price of $20 may turn some people off. Though the great thing about this is that I often see the game on a discount, I sure got it when it was discounted and it still is even as I write this!
I'd also say this game is really beginner-friendly, it always gives a clear direction for you to follow through, so if you're a new gamer and don't want anything super difficult but just enjoyable, this'd be a great game for you!! If not, and you'd just like a story rich game that's also pretty chill, I highly suggest this.
Solid 9/10 game.
