A very fun and simple horror game with a retro style. It's mainly a puzzle game, but there is a huge map to explore and a lot of lore to discover. All in all, I'd say that it was definitely worth the price! EDIT: I've finished the game as of now with 3.2 hours playtime!
Nifty little indie game. Fun and cosy graphic style and a well thought out chain of puzzles. Would happily play whatever the dev cooks up next. £3 and 4 hours well spent
Great atmosphere, the controls make sense and are responsive. Storyline builds through reading and lore which pushes the player to want to know more as you investigate and keep track of events. Excellent game!

This game was such a treat to play because of how it is everything I love about indie games to a T. Made by single person, short and simple, doesn't overstay it's welcome, rewarding game play loops, and very charming visual style. I love games where you have to figure out what's going on and that you have to solve the mystery with what Little clues you have. It makes the reward feel much more earned and gives you a greater sense of accomplishment. My favorite section of the game was during the cliff side section where you found the bell and had to evade the Wendigo by learning its behavior and observing how it responds to you. This created great suspension with the understanding that, if you mess up, you're as good as dead. The artstyle, while simple, is very charming and leans into the horror aspect of it all. I've always been of the mindset that the visual style for indie games will naturally evolve from the classic 8-, 16-, and 32-bit era to the more "modern" 64-bit and PS1 era of graphics at the end of the 90's. I am so happy to see games like this and Lethal Company further push that notion, because it further pushes the genre and allows more games to feel unique and original. I do have complaints about the game, however. 1). I feel like there should be more options for evading the Wendigo. If you are not by a building, you are as good as dead. The monster will run to you at mach-20 and kill you instantly. And you better not even think about hiding in a bin while he's chasing you, because it will just stand there in front of you indefinitely until you pop back out. 2). The entirety of the brain well section. I'm not sure if it was tied to the story or not, but it was such a slog to get through. You had to rely on a trial and error mindset by running through a maze while escaping another murderer, who has the exact same problems as the Wendigo; if you're so much as a second too slow, you're dead. 3). The ending is a bit lack luster. Without going into spoilers, the pay off for what you have been put through does not feel as rewarding as I would have imagined. You do your thing, you "remove the problem", and then it just sort of ends. But like I said, I really enjoyed the rest of the game outside of those few issues and I am so glad I picked up this game. Am I "going easy" on it because it was made by one person? It's possible. But I cannot help but love the dedication and effort I saw while playing this, and I surely can't wait to see where this creator goes with their next project. I'll be waiting!
