Matthew goes to meet his beloved, who was forced to land on the old base. But there is a catch — he is on a distant planet, where during the breeding phases of the local fauna people see hallucinations.

"Welcome to Emba" is a very poorly made linear narrative driven 3D "adventure" game where you're basically in a fixed camera tunnel and you move along to expose the (badly written) storyline. Ho hum. The graphics aren't great. That's understandably be turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

I really enjoyed playing this game. As a person who is new to playing on a PC, I did not find it to be too difficult or anything like that. It is super creative and visually appealing. Play it, if you've got 30-40 minutes.
Pros: - Interesting concept - nice art style for the characters - interesting mixed dimension layout Cons: - no story - boring gameplay (walking simulator) - uneven translation - dull (couildn't even finish) - no camera control Verdict; 3/10: not worth full sentence

Before I played Welcome to Emba, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Very short play through but I enjoyed the story line, art, and music. It took me a couple of resets to figure out how to defeat the eye monster and then navigate through the chase scene with Meri, but the ending made up for the tedious bits. It would be nice to have cursor control the perspective of the character because it was difficult at time to control the path of the character using WASD keys and not having the perspective shift into the direction they are running.
