Really good game. Better than some $10 games. Good atmosphere and scares.
this was well above my expectations for a free horror game! the gameplay is pretty simple, but the environment is surprisingly well thought-out, and the puzzles take just long enough to solve that the pacing stays tidy. there are (inevitably) a few basic jumpscares, but they're at least built up a bit so that they don't feel cheap. the majority of the tension comes from the atmosphere, which is bolstered by some genuinely great voice acting. in terms of complaints, my only one would be that the keyring items blend in way too well with the walls. i ended up backtracking a couple of times thinking i'd missed a puzzle along the way. overall, this game served some good scares and didn't overstay its welcome. i would've gladly paid a few bucks for this! but let's be real i would've given this a 10/10 for the title music alone

When you first start, it seems like indies first horror slop, but it turns out its actually well designed with a few actual mechanics instead of just a walking sim. It's free and actually decent. Definitely gonna check out his other games.
This game was built really good, Had some not to hard puzzles and some nice jump scares. I would recommend if anyone wants to play a free good indie horror game.
Weeping Falls Massacre is a pretty good atmospheric, horror game and the first game created by Tainted Pact, alright then story. Decades ago in the town of Weeping Falls a tragedy happened at the weeping Falls orphanage, Once the orphanage served as a shelter and home for orphaned children, but it all went to hell when one night the police upon receiving an anonymous phone call discovered the tragedy the children and staff of the orphanage were brutally slaughtered their bodies mutilated and worst of all the killer disappeared, after that the case was unfortunately closed and the building boarded up. But that is not the end of this tale for a young man named Eric Stoll awakens from another nightmare, this young man had been at the orphanage decades ago along with his best friend. Eric had escaped the massacre only because he had been adopted, but Eric having nightmares about his past and his friend his mind is soon made up, he must return to the Weeping Falls orphanage hoping to get closure, unfortunately that would be easier said than done as the evil of that place is still very much alive. So then the likes, the story is pretty good and quite simple thanks to the cassette tapes you will find throughout the game and like their previous work the story has a lot of references to different types of horror. The gameplay good and simple explore the orphanage, find items to progress though game and solve some simple puzzles, nothing too complicated. The puzzles are good, very easy to figure out thanks to the clues, but there is one puzzle where I had to brute force it but it was not bad. The graphics are okay I have seen this kind of graphics in other indie horror games. The levels are good the orphanage is nice and creepy with wear and tear and looking dilapidated that helps set the mood. The voice acting is fine nothing too spectacular. The music is nice, fits the game very well. The atmosphere is very good keeps you on edge as you explore the place. Now is this game scary yes while this game does use jump scares they use them sparingly coupled with a pretty good atmosphere. So then the dislikes, the game doesn't have achievements I feel with the multiple endings I think achievements would have fit the game. Also in the credit there is no mention of who did the voice acting which was in this case that is a problem because I want to know if the creator of this game did the voice acting, if he got family to do it or if he used AI nonsense. Alright now that I told you all this Weeping Falls Massacre is a pretty good atmospheric, horror game and the first game created by Tainted Pact, with a pretty good story, good and simple gameplay and okay graphics, I recommend this game it's as it's free.
SUPER late to the party, but wow!! This was excellent!! Everything was on point; the music, the story, just enough of a challenge. Loved it!
Very fun game. Nice lore, and some good jumpscares. I think the lullaby record needs to be accessible earlier so that the player can make use of it before they get to the cabin outside. Other than that good stuff.
It's a classic orphanage horror mystery tale. The puzzles are easy and fun to tackle. Nothing hard. Although the chess piece did puzzle me for a bit. I might be my setup, but otherwise the game could use optimization. There where several stutters that would throw me off. Witch let to a Beary catching up to me. The other one is with the gramophone playing. Witch caused a halving of the total frames rate. But it was at the end.
