This game is extremely intense. It's well balanced, difficult and very satisfying. Well done! Can't wait for the finished product.
Genuinely a really fun game. It has some issues with the clothing clipping and sometimes characters getting stretched, but the actual gameplay is great and the combat system is really cool.
No.
I adore this game! I love that it is set in a world of the developer's own design while still delivering on the roman gladiator aesthetics I came to it for. The combat is so much fun and the systems to upgrade your character are a blast. I have been having a blast with it and I think you will too! My point of criticism is that I feel the enemy AI should be more aggressive. I find I can attack them with little consequence because they do not attack me back as much as they could. I want more of a challenge in the battles but I am still having a blast and this is early access so I fully endorse this game.
GLADIATORRRR!!! RAHHH!!!!!! DIE FOR THE SEVENTEENTH TIME RAH!!!!!!!!
Great game, made by a solo developer who genuinely puts in the work. Of course, this isn't some so-called “AAAA” game that the big studios try to sell us for €80. And honestly? It doesn't need to be. This is what I think games should be about: having fun, struggling, failing, getting better, and throwing yourself back into the arena to do it all over again. No unnecessary nonsense. No massive studio or endless budget behind it. Just a developer with a vision who poured his heart, soul, sweat, and countless hours into making a genuinely fun game — and it shows. You will lose. You will die. You will blame the controls. Then you'll git gud, come back stronger, and somehow find yourself saying, “Alright... one more run.” Huge respect and thanks to the developer for creating something with actual passion behind it. We who are about to die salute you. 🫡 Ave Caesar, morituri te salutant.
damn. pretty good
Much better than "For Honour" + many good bits from "Darkest Dungeon". Looking forward to seeing the final release! One more battle!
I am a huge fan of Shadow of Rome. When this game popped up I knew I had to play it and man am I glad I did. It fleshed out the best part of SoR and kept the fun intact. I hope I get to beat up enemies with body parts some day but I'll be just fine if that never happens. Keep up the great work!
