Janky combat mechanics. The combat is no where near as fun as the combat in M&B Warband (A game made a decade earlier), and combat is the games main feature. I would personally value this game at £5, £19.99 is just far too much.; and I purchased it on sale at £13.99. I ended up requesting a refund.
they made this game specifically to piss me off, this game was made for nobody else it was made for me and it was made to piss just me off and nobody else
started playing again after a year or two, it gotta be one of the best rougelike/sword game ever. the amount of content it has now is crazy and the fact that you can see stats about everything is so cool. love the game, buy it
Gladiator? More like Glad I Played This. Amirite?
Fun if you like sword combat games. Like M+B tournaments but more in depth.
chop em up
Sadly with each update the game gets worse, stamina is absolute garbage, i swing two times and im out of stamina with most backrounds, also the AI was "improved" so now they are even stronger and seems to never run out of stamina. 1 vs many is almost impossible unless you have top tier gear, the trait system is awful and impossible to turn off. Combat also in general feels less responsive compared to how it was. Really wish the game would improve, but it seems that only thing that "improves" is the difficulty increasing.
I just want Spartacus Legends back man...
There are very few, if any, gladiator games that could hold a candle to We Who Are About To Die. It is a little goofy, but the replay value is immense and the gameplay is fantastic. Good scaling of gear and difficulty, different character backgrounds combined with perks give massive strategy variety in each playthrough, and the bonuses gained from each backgrounded completed complimented by permanent boosts to each run's start unlocked through multiple runs set this game a world apart.
