The F2P P2W game that started it all. Still going strong for your wallet, for everything. $20 and 40$ mounts, $50 to open a page of inventory, just to name a few. On top of that, the crappy IE browser instance they are using to run the game will min/close when you hit ESC or ENTER on your keyboard, making chat very cumbersome. Be prepared to spend thousands of dollars to remain competitive. If you really want to play it, do yourself a favor and play it from their website or any number of other web portals to avoid the crappy IE implementation they offer here. If you want my real advice, AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you are very careful to never spend on games like this.
Have you ever played a game and you thought: "I could make a better game with a budget of 100 dollars?" Well this is one of those games. Boring start up. Click to move mechanics. Browser game that came to steam for some reason. Also pay to win. So yeah. Avoid this game at all costs

TL;DR - if you ever wanted to say any game is "so pay to win", you clearly haven't played Wartune. I played the game as a time eater definitely more than I should before it was released on Steam, luckily I can't say how much. Nowadays it's mostly sitting in the background (taking my PC's precious resources, but well). For some reason Steam don't let me post whole content below, so I made some key points and "pay to win" game notes for those interested here: http://pastebin.com/YsPrn5y2 Overall, I won't recommend the game to anyone. You can try it, just to see how it is, and there is some of fun in seeing your character strength endlessly grow up, but it will take you too much time to take anywhere. The game mechanics are very addicting, and you may find yourself spending either too much money or too much time, just to compete with a few of the people similar to the amount you spend.
Played it few years ago on Facebook, will not touch this on Steam, well, I did to write a "review" but you've got my point.
Notice: At the request of the publisher, Wartune is no longer available for sale on Steam.
oof
Played the browser and i was one of the top leading creaters (over 500k youtube views, played chinese which is ahead in updates and was top of Europe on r2 games (Demonwolf810) ) I would reccomend if you want something to pass the time without spending a time but dont care for competition, this is your game, however If you hate pay to win, lag, unfairness, developers who DONT care, and a semi dead game, this isnt for you Overall, I do NOT reccomend this game as the developers are money hungry and do not care (on r2 games etc i have over 3500 hours)
I played Wartune from May 2013 - July 2015. This review gives you reasons to not pick this game up. My advice is to avoid this game if you care about your time. Wartune is made to make money and seeks to hook you in so you end up spending too much time, too much $ or both. I spent 10-15hrs/day + $2500 during my two years and I was spending $50/week during the last several months of my time on Wartune. If you wanna compete with the big boys you will need to be spending in the tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of $ and that's no exaggeration. I think some players may have spent into the millions over time. Wartune also have 2 monthly payments - VIP (~$8) and Spirit Covenant.(~$12) These cut down your time on daily quests and some other stuff plus gain you a few other bonuses and rewards (I haven't played over a year so I don't know too much about these anymore). I would say these are are must-haves for any dedicated player. Wartune regularly puts out new upgrades that are over-priced and then they make the older upgrades cheaper and cheaper over time until they're pretty much free. This keeps this the big spenders spending to have the advantage over the free players and low spenders.
Free-to-play? No Pay to Win? Yes Don't let it fool yourself, the game will basically squeze your money AND time. You want to be SOMEWHAT more that common mob? Daily login, spend some time. Some hundreds in cash mounthly, spend some time daily, and you will be good. Been spending cash for several mounths? You will hit the top, just chose relatively new server. And pray it won't get merged with older one, or there will be those guys, the ones that been spending for years, mopping the arena/battleground/whatever with your poor (actually quite expensive) little char.
I HATE THIS GAME SO MUCH
