About
The Story So Far:
The Viridi Republic fell quickly and unexpectedly with the mysterious death of the First Man. The great houses spiraled into an orgy of violence, Salvio "the Scorcher" Tevani burning all the crops and dwellings he passed during his exodus from the city of Jadenbury. House Mesali managed to subdue the other noble families and entered into a trembling alliance behind the capital’s walls.
Other warlords have emerged from the smoldering ruins of the republic, and others still wait like vultures on the borderlands: the Bearded Bandits of the Lorntops, the all-female Third Moon Pirates that smuggle the addictive drug known as moonlight across the Southern Sea, the porcine krugen tribes of the Dead Steppes, the quick reptilian troglodytes of the arid eastern badlands, and the expansive slave-trading Izar Empire that spans two continents.
The town of Lockdell is perched atop the cliffs of southwestern Orinia, patiently overlooking the waves. It is here that Salvio the Scorcher is raising a militia to retake Jadenbury from Andresi Mesali. You just so happen to be one of Salvio’s selfless "volunteers".

I'll give it a thumbs up but honestly the clunkiness of the UI and the inventory management especially really holds the game back. Still if you like old crusty real time strategy you might like this, but only if you have the stomach for extreme menu jank.
Terrible UI, great game.
This game rules. Do you have the ability to deal with jank? Would you like a game that rewards you for being a horrible cowardly loot goblin of a protagonist? If you don't get turned away within the refund window by the graphics or the interface, I think you will enjoy Warlordocracy. Thank you tehsnakerer for those videos on the Brigand games back in the day, BTW. As soon as I saw Brian had something new to play on steam, I knew I had to give it a shot
Great gameplay, great story, great music. If you like BG2 or NWN, play this game.
fuulhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhj
Honestly love it but the UI and some other minor stuff is just a little too grating for me. Love this dev, game seems good, just not for me. Loved the ♥♥♥♥ out of Brigand.
Warlordocracy like Laughing Coyotes first game Brigand is a game for gamers. Could a casual have fun with it? Absolutely! But, the people who will really enjoy it are the serious people with over a hundred games in their inventory who could play whatever they want but, have a taste for the unique. There's a reason that most of the reviewers of Laughing Coyotes games have hundreds of games in their libraries. I'm only a couple hours in to this one so far so I'll probably write more in the future. I will say this though. I actually like the menu and control scheme better than the Baldurs Gate series (At least better than the first two. I haven't played the third one.) It's both smoother and easier to manage here. Pathfinding needs some work though.
English: Bought this without knowing anything about the dev's public behavior. Turns out Brian J. Lancaster (Brigand: Oaxaca / Warlordocracy) has been running mod contests where you get paid to design maps about assassinating real politicians — Biden, Netanyahu were his suggested targets, "any politician" was fine too, $50 prize. He framed it as a free-speech joke and mocked people for being upset that Trump got shot at during a rally. In the comments he straight up said he's tired of people acting like killing politicians is a tragedy, since "people get shot all the time". He also ran a separate contest asking players to gun down ICE agents with a minigun. In the comments there he said he writes in "Free Palestine" every election until it happens, and that ICE agents belong in prison. He also blocks people for saying anything he tags as "Zionist" — worth noting Zionism just means supporting Israel's right to exist as a state, nothing more sinister than that. He's openly pushing these views right in the comments and posts attached to his own games, and that's not something I want to support with my money. Can't recommend the game.
It's good. Pathfinding needs some work, but it's manageable if you don't click a destination on the opposite side of the map. Combat and dialogue are really fun.
great game
