About
The Story So Far:
The Viridi Republic fell quickly and unexpectedly with the mysterious death of the First Man. The great houses spiraled into an orgy of violence, Salvio "the Scorcher" Tevani burning all the crops and dwellings he passed during his exodus from the city of Jadenbury. House Mesali managed to subdue the other noble families and entered into a trembling alliance behind the capital’s walls.
Other warlords have emerged from the smoldering ruins of the republic, and others still wait like vultures on the borderlands: the Bearded Bandits of the Lorntops, the all-female Third Moon Pirates that smuggle the addictive drug known as moonlight across the Southern Sea, the porcine krugen tribes of the Dead Steppes, the quick reptilian troglodytes of the arid eastern badlands, and the expansive slave-trading Izar Empire that spans two continents.
The town of Lockdell is perched atop the cliffs of southwestern Orinia, patiently overlooking the waves. It is here that Salvio the Scorcher is raising a militia to retake Jadenbury from Andresi Mesali. You just so happen to be one of Salvio’s selfless "volunteers".

MONSTER of a CRPG right here! Made by the legendary dev behind Brigand: Oaxaca, this game features much deeper features than you may think, like dialogue and ability checks, a bunch of skills to develop, party-based real-time-with-pause combat and more! Awesome stuff. The dev keeps developing it too and adding more and more, definitely worth your time if you are a CRPG fan!
Waiting for the full relese but it got me interested :>
Coming along nicely
Another banger from Brian. Thanks for your service king idk how you made this work
i am not far into the game but it seems to be a fun game it is just it is real hard you die so easily so i rather want the game to get a proper easy mode where enemies do half damage but if not that some cheat codes or console commands could work so you could either edit your characters stats or give my party 500 karma so i could train my party without worry but if i even can not get that i would like some tips and tricks to know the best way to play the game so thanks for reading and have a good day
Yes.
its gud
Terrible UI, great game.
Not really my genre of game tbh. It's solid tho, as far as I have played. It's less than $5 to get another (currently 5) chapter / 3-6 more hours of the story line for each chapter. I want to support the guy who made brigand. A few bucks to check out his latest work is well worth it. Set up like baldur's gate (1&2, icewind dale) with the top down (instead of isometric view) and with the pause button that makes it more turn-based and tactical. I like Brian's whimsical storytelling put into a more straight forward RPG. I have yet to get very far tho. So I should probably update my review when I play more. I would recommend other's buy the game and see if they like it. And if you don't, you only spent a few bucks to try out a full fledged RPG. $4, see if you like it. the next DLCs are longer or have more diverse content. As it seems you could have wildly varying outcomes in your overall quest based on decisions at any time. Much to experiment with, and great replay value. The only complaints I have seen are UI and pathfinding. I think the UI is perfectly serviceable and works well after getting used to it. Pathfinding can be a bit off. But these flaws are circumvented by moving fewer characters shorter distances, rather than moving everyone a part way across the map and expecting them all to get there at the same time. Biggest drawback, but even as someone who doesn't fully enjoy this exact genre, it is in no way a game killer.
Perhaps the worst pathfinding in any video game that I have ever played. At times it runs flawlessly and at others it slows to a snail's pace. I have been informed that party members have died in explosive friendly fire before the game's lag has caught up to the explosion itself. Every single skill point of progress feels monumental. Buying this game is an ethical imperative. I would let Brian J. Lancaster build my home. Nobody can do it quite like he does.
