War Online: Pacific is a fairly badly made "flight combat sim" with a World War 2 theme, as you can fly a small handful of planes from various different factions in the second great war. The game is "freemium", although the menu in the game was so badly put together I couldn't work out where I had to go to throw all my money at the developers for this masterpiece. Edit: I found it, these jokers seriously want $160 US dollars for a TBM-3 Avenger. Don't laugh, it's true!
The art assets all look and feel like they're asset flipped or something, or maybe just copied off an existing 3D modelling site. The real kickers here are the locked graphics settings and locked controls. If you've got a custom control config, you can't play this game, end of story. If you're the kind of gamer that likes to tweak the settings for each game to optimise the visuals and framerates, you're out of luck.
It's good that there's some botmatching (but no actual single player content), because at least the game can be played if you have exactly the right controller setup that it happens to actually work with the developers locked control schema. The game has an online "MMO" focus but SteamDB shows a peak of just 21 players, three years ago, and since then, just 1-2 players per day maximum. That's laughably poor.
So despite not being able to put together an even remotely playable game, these guys have their hands out for $293 dollars to buy 6 "premium" planes. The developers were so incompetent, the Premium planes are all US planes, but if you play Axis those are all the planes you can buy. I'm pretty sure this is some kind of joke or something. It has to be.
