VR Soccer Training

"VR Soccer Training" is a pointless soccer goal kicking VR tech demo designed for consoles but launched on PC, the game requires very specific VR and console hardware to run, making it rather valueless for 99.999% of genuine PC gamers who don't own console peasant gaming peripherals. What do you do in the game? It's not even a full soccer game so you just muck around near the goalposts. Seriously shallow. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. The graphics aren't great, low quality graphics even for a console, and this was launched only on Windows. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now onto pricing and value. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of [b]6 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.

Nie wystawiam negatywnych recenzji darmowym grom, ale drugi raz muszę zrobić wyjątek. Nazywanie tego grą vr to jakaś kpina. Specjalnie "grałem" drugi raz, żeby móc wystawić negatywną recenzję. Większość ludzi chyba żałowała czasu i nie "grała" siedmiu minut. Ja łącznię poświęciłem 15 (Steam zaliczył 7) i dopiero po tym czasie zorientowałem się, że gra działa. To znaczy oczywiście tylko w trybie bramkarza, bo nie mam Kinect. A jak działa? Można łapać piłkę (której nie łapiesz, bo ona znika), ale nie widać rąk. Bo ręce zostają z tyłu, w pozycji jak do pajacyka. I to jest najlepsze podsumowanie, ta gra to robienie pajaca z tego, kto próbuje ją wypróbować.
