this game has very limited interaction and the all the girl combinations are rly just terrifying to look at.
I was hoping for more face customization options - including hair. I find the sliders for "celebrities" confusing on what does what. I did not buy this for the sex simulation, but to craft a certain looking woman. Could not do.
UPDATE 16 Dec 2019: - Developer released an update that largely fixes the initial start-up issues, and a better control of the slider bars, although I had to make a significant re-adjustment of my vertical height (no big deal, just wasn't expecting it). - Aside from the above, the rest of the issues I have with the game remain as originally reported in my initial impressions. It's nice to be able to play the game without having to wrestle with the controls as much as before. I'm hoping improvements will now be made on improvements with your interaction with Katherine. If/when this happens is when I would consider moving from a thumbs down to a thumbs up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Initial Impressions (Played in VR only with Valve Index) Pros - Despite the funny observations by others that Katherine's face looks like a certain actor in drag, there is a fair amount of customization that you can do to the face to make it look more appealing. - Body Customization is available, but is limited to body type and upper chest. Options in overall body size would be welcomed. - A lovely home worth exploring. Even comes complete with a non-functional toilet. - When you choose a sexual position, your viewpoint is automatically adjusted for the male point of view. This feature is amazing, and for myself, incredibly immersive. For a few seconds, I almost beieved I was participating. Cons - VR Controller interface with the Main Menu is a bit of a mess. While large buttons are easy to manage, the smaller slider bars are near impossible to control. Either make the menu much larger, or turn the VR finger controlling this into a laser pointer with tighter accuracy. Trying to adjust the slider bar for the face was a nightmare (e.g., if I chose one bar, I would wind up moving the two bars above it). when trying to adjust vertical height, it took me over 2 minutes to get it back to the default value. - You might want to check on the modeling between her legs and hips. At times, it looks like someone forgot to wrap the skin all around the wireframe. It's not always noticeable, but is annoying when you do. - You need to separate the the turning and teleportation controls (currently, you can only do both near simultaneously). I was always missing the mark of where I wanted to go, and wound up getting the HMD cable wrapped around the legs because I had to keep physically turning to face her. - Smooth locomotion would be greatly welcomed here, as it would make moving around much more easier, as well as be able to adjust your viewpoint of the action in the bedroom. - Interaction with Katherine is noticeably limited. Points of interaction are limited to areas highlighted by a red sphere (where the spheres act as slider bars), but do provide some variability to Katherine's positioning. I do wish there were more spheres around her legs and 'additional points of interaction' with other parts than her chest. - Once you and Katherine get intimate, there is no endgame, just a repetitive loop with limited dialogue. there is no figurative climax to your encounter that I am aware of. I am currently giving the game/experience a thumbs down due to my having to wrestle more with the controls than with Katherine. I'll probably hold off on playing more until I see what the developer's path forward is going to be. Depending on their response (or lack thereof), I may consider a refund.
Katherine lives in a very nice house (has been seen in other games before). Unfortunately this is the only postive thing I can say. There are several issues: - Even when started from VR, you have to confirm settings on your desktop (stupid Unity engine) - Performance issues, there is some type of shadow around the model - The feet are a bit above the ground while still clipping - During sex simulation you get moved in various positions while still standing. In one instance the whole VR was skew because of this - Using both grips to operate the menu (instead of trigger) is just annoying - Only teleportation - Rotating using the touchpad feels very strange and outcome is more or less random
This is just terrible. The model looks bad and the options to change her appearance doesn't make much of a change really. The clothes were obviously not made for the model either. Her skin goes through the clothes all the time and it doesn't look as if she has her feet planted on the ground when walking. When she talks she constantly repeat herself. Felt like there was only two sentences programmed into her. The devs also programmed Katherine to perform a dance it seems, or it's just the "AI" going nuts. It looks bad either way. Even if this game was free I would not have recommend it.
Rubbish VR game do not download it.
This review will only critique the features of VR Katherine in its current state. I won't talk about desired features. 1: Customizing the woman is frustrating because your finger rubs over all the options. Please look at VR avatar editors such as Oculus Home and Rec Room for great examples on customizing controls. 2: Collision detection is mandatory for any interactivity with the woman. I attempted to groom her hair, hold her hand while she chatted on the bench, and other activity involving scratches, but she did not react the anything. It became awkward. 2B: We need to be able to grab her shoulders to move her. 3: When we kiss her, please don't allow us to see inside her head. Add collision detection here too by having the player's head push her back. (BTW, I do close my eyes while kissing people, but leave them very slightly open. It's hot.) 4: The shading on the eyelids is too shiny. The light should not be reflecting from the back of her head. Sometimes she looks like a ghost. Very scary when she's on top! 5: After having fun in the bedroom, the player is tilted 45 degrees, looking at the ceiling. I am forced to restart the game to get correct posture. 6: Sometimes the player is launched into the stratosphere. I'm impressed you made decent clouds. XD 7: We should have the option to locomote slowly in the house. If the feature is there, I couldn't find it. 8: And last thing, a big thing... In life, when you're starting to play in the bedroom, one of the most important factors is HOW YOU BEGIN to have sex. The worst way to begin kissing anything in VR is to surprise cut right into the scene. Very terrifying! At one moment, I was with an angel, and the very next she resembled Lisa from PT Demo, looking down at you with a smile. This will give me nightmares. This game is not great, but I appreciate the effort put into VR Katherine. She can be pretty, with patience from the current customizer. The voice actress is bland right now, but give her constructive feedback if you plan to add more monologue in the game. She speaks at a smoother, comfortable pace. I just BARELY recommend this game because VR AI dating will happen in the future, and if that's what we want, we need to support the development. Plus I only paid $7.50 for this. Cheap date. ;) EDIT: Amazing graphics! Pretty house. Bloom effects.
WORST. GAME. EVER!
needs more work. and 1 handed playability. and she needs to be able to be told what to say.
