VR Battle Grid

VR Battle Grid is a free to play VR exclusive ripoff of Battleship, the popular board game published by Milton Bradley (although it should be noted that the grid based concept of Battleship predates the Milton Bradley version, going back as far as the early 1900's as a pen and paper game, so there's no IP infringement going on here). This is a very bare bones/simple rendition of Battleship, featuring low poly assets and a simple grid, with little in the way of embellishment. The game can be played 2 player or vs AI. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes your game great is the VR, then your game isn't great at all. Imagine knowing your game is so bad that you make it a VR exclusive in the hopes it will prevent people playing it and comparing it to professionally developed games. The developer has made this completely free, however, which is a noble gesture and shows belief in their product and great service to the industry. It's unfortunate the level of quality here is simply too low for me to recommend anyone should download this, given the sheer number of better VR games on Steam. Players looking for a good VR experience should consider games like Half-Life: Alyx.
