Vivez Versailles

Vivez Versailles is a free VR educational experience. It worked on my HTC Vive with RTX 2070 Super system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. You have a choice of French and English. Has two narrated experiences that were 3D recreated historical events at the Palace of Versailles. The experiences looked ok for the price of free. There was very few interactive parts and movement was teleport. Has a 30 minute run time. Try this, if you like French History.

The palace of Versailles will charm you into two tours. Luckily the palace is a charming and engaging speaker as well as a bit of a flirt so it makes some of the game's less sparkling features OK. There is no free movement, so you can't explore at your own pace exactly and I often felt too far from the action to see anything properly. The palace itself is lovely so it would have been nice to have free roam. But there is at least movement in the game, even through teleportation and the historical figures move.

It does not work properly on Mixed Reality. There are some weird veil in front of your eyes in some scenes, but the thing that makes it unwatchable is that the scenery is moving up and down constantly, like your character head is moving, but you are not. It feels like beging on a boat.

Bof, je n'ai pas trop accroché.. On passe plus de temps à regarder et écouter qu'autre chose, et graphiquement je ne le trouve pas terrible.

La première partie s'est bien déroulée. En revanche je n'ai jamais pu aller au bal des Ifs. Juste le début quand on clique sur les documents dans la chambre. Si on ne garde pas le clic, il est impossible de lire les documents. On passe à la suite, prêt à entrer dans la salle de bal et c'est là que ça plante. J'ai essayé à plusieurs reprises. Il y a un message "en attente" mais on peut attendre 30 mn, rien ne se passe. J'attends donc un correctif pour terminer la visite. (Oculus Rift S)

Ne fonctionne pas du tout sur Windows 11 chez moi !!!
