Really impressed by this little gem as the spiritual successor to Advance Wars. The graphics may suck but not much else does... Pros: - simple rules, easy to understand and pick up and play - very easily changeable gameplay where you can, ingame, change the health, attack power, range, attack probability success within range of all units. Fully customizable. Other games like Warhammer: Gladius are beautiful, have great dynamics, but the modability of this is something else. - one complaint I have with some games is that it's hard to get your precise difficulty level. With the modability here, you can slightly weaken your favourite weapons, slightly bias the AI to keep tailoring making the difficulty in skirmishes. Love this. - helpful summary of unit in battle if you want to see its stats (not shown in screenshots and many modern turnbased games forget this) - cheap (currently free!) and quick to load ... Cons: - the graphics suck - am only early through the game, but currently, not much terrain variety The skirmishes remind me of the classics like Red Alert however this is turn based not RTS. I prefer turn based so this makes me even happier. Thoroughly recommend and encourage the developer to keep going. Depth beats design in my book and if you have that, you're onto a winning formula!
Violations Will Be Punished! Review
Don't feel like reading the whole thing? Down at the bottom is the conclusion and score given to the game! :)
Introduction
This game is one of the weirdest I ever played. Violations Will Be Punished a turn-based strategy game featuring some crazy stories regarding a center of business that exploits humans. The story drags you into absurd situations such as discovering the Illuminati, becoming corrupt and working with Communist parties, or even getting scammed out of all your resources for opening a scam email. The dialogue is funny and made me laugh at the absurdity of some situations. One can make decisions, and going into debt is one of them, haha! With so many factions to join and choices to make is an endearing title that has something to offer to players.
Control and Map Design
The gameplay is reminiscent of the Advanced Wars series, with turn-based combat and unit production. That being said, there are differences between both titles: In Violations Will Be Punished, it is smoother and easier to move troops, resulting in a more fluent experience when it comes to keeping the action going. Armies can be constructed quickly, allowing you to stay on the offensive and plan your next move. The game balance is decent, with AI's being able to destroy your armies if you move without care or make wrong calls. The aspect that let me down here is that map variety is poor, meaning that you usually won't care for the terrain you are fighting. It contrasts with Advanced Wars' heavy use of landscape that can instantly change the outcomes of battles.
Strong Points
The vital point is that if you are hungry for turn-based combat and want a cheap option that supplies a good amount of content, this game will do it. Violations Will Be Punished gameplay is fun and straight to the action, which is appreciated since turn-based combats can sometimes be a chore to play through due to animations, slow combat, or not being smoothed out. The narrative is also good if you want to have a few laughs and consider which choices are correct. In a title where a decision can be the difference between acquiring resources or being hit by an electrical whip is the norm, careful thinking can make your life easier. It adds a bit more and keeps the theme of exploitation going strong.
Art Design and Visuals
Visually the game is lackluster. While it is understandable for a game of this budget, it still ruins the immersion. Interfaces look clunky and barebones, while the combat lacks animations for the most part. If you are searching for a title with a more premium quality, then this is not it. The art style is focused on replicating real-life pictures to give it a more humane manner, which goes well with the nature of the game but could have been worked on more.
Sound, Replayability and Performance
Sound-wise, it is lacking. There is no voice acting overall, and the sound effects are as generic as they come. Regarding replayability, while it offers a lot of content in the initial run, it only works for a second one. Missions cannot be replayed on the planets on the world map, so you cannot revisit them. Thankfully there are multiple campaigns to enjoy as you play it, but this title won't warrant a replay. You can run this game on almost any hardware. There were no issues regarding bugs or crashes.

[TH]
Pros
[/TH] [TH]
Cons
[/TH]

Good price point quality, a great amount of content.
Jumps right into the action with smooth gameplay that is fast.
Multiple campaigns that keep you invested and allow you to get revenge on your superiors.
Interesting narrative that makes you guess what will happen next and has a comedic approach.

Barebones visuals and sound departments.
It can be a game you beat and enjoy or stop playing and abandon it.

Conclusion
Violations Will Be Punished is a game with some flaws in visuals and sound, but it does a solid job in its narrative and gameplay segments. It is a game that, for five bucks, I recommend to anyone in the mood for something similar to Advance Wars or that has an itch for a turbo base game involving unit production. 7/10 GOOD If you enjoy and find the review helpful, please follow my curator StarsDeck! https://store.steampowered.com/curator/43679955/

Recomendo. Estou testando ainda mas me parece bem interessante...
Игра напомнила старые стратегии времен "Командуй и побеждай" что то этого стиля) Мне понравилось)
Good old school TBS with lots of cyberpunk corporative jokes. I really enjoyed playing it
