VHOLUME is a melancholic first-person parkour adventure set in a dystopian brutalist city where bureaucracy turns a simple task into an odyssey.

A beautiful game where you navigate through the ruins of Young Thug City — once a bastion of prosperity, brought down by incomprehensible forces of evil.
Great game if you like Mirror's Edge and brutalism and wondering how that other guy was 0.12 seconds faster than you
I love the atmosphere
The single-player content Titanfall 2 was missing. It's just incredible! Also comparable to Mirror's Edge: surf_hades2. It's also curious how this is clearly using Unreal Engine 5, but it still aims for the general aesthetic present in Source movement maps. Thankfully, while it does use Lumen and whatnot, lag isn't particularly bad even on a medium spec build, although I'd prefer if Lumen could be disabled altogether. The demo is pretty generous too. While it only showcases 4 maps, it was more than enough schmovement for me to realise that I had to play it, and it even has leaderboards!
A drum & bass playlist is required to reach its full potential and ascend to a higher plane of parkour.
I didn't expect much when I got VHOLUME but honestly it's a pretty good speedgame. The movement feels pretty good but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some complaints about how momentum is preserved, how you gain speed, some of the hitbox/level geometry shenanigans and other miscellaneous stuff - BUT they're not dealbreakers, just something one would have to get used to (..). I have a background in speedrunning so some of the settings that are in the game are *really* welcome (timer, crosshair & speedometer settings especially). The game is visually just great. I didn't pay much attention to the music much (sorry 1000eyes!) because the game sort of warrants you to put on your favourite album and just enter a flowstate. Overall I strongly recommend the game! Especially considering the steal of a price.
