VHOLUME is a melancholic first-person parkour adventure set in a dystopian brutalist city where bureaucracy turns a simple task into an odyssey.

its great
Ever wanted a full game of just the Titanfall 2 gauntlet? I know I have
This game's everything I could want from a first-person platformer. Snappy movement, cool mechanics that lead to interesting routing, and a beautiful atmosphere that causes me to stop and admire my surroundings.
I'm not seeing enough movement!
amazing
I can only best describe this as the quintessence of parkour video games. The controls are very fluid, well designed, predictable; the levels are extraordinarily well put together, providing ample space for exploration and technical tricks. But most importantly, for me anyway, is the deeply engrossing atmosphere: The visual and audio languages used throughout are lovely and keep you involved in the level to grind out better runs. I find it hard to believe anybody who likes parkour games wouldn't deeply enjoy this one. To construct such megaprojects depends upon the miniliths of flesh. To nourish the interlocking mesh one must go forth and advect.
Made the mistake of booting up the game with a friend past midnight. It is now 4am and i have to get ready for work. 1000 Eyes did an amazing job on the soundtrack as always and the gameplay is addicting, clearly.
VHOLUME makes you feel like you're actually set in it's own universe. The atmosphere of every level is unique and flows extremely well, the music is ethereal and really lulls you in, and the gameplay itself is just insanely smooth. I haven't pursued any 'movement' games since surfing on CS:GO or back when Titanfall2 was an alive shooter, but this really reeled me in. It took roughly ~5.5 hours to gold medal every main level, complete all B-Sides, and get every achievement. For the price tag, I'd honestly say it's worth it, and with the addition of workshop content being released, you can constantly keep playing.
I want it to be less centered around movement. Since it is still "work in progress", i believe it would be perfect time to ask a dev to add pieces of a storyline, like, whats happened to that cities that we ran through, add places off the tracks so it would be interesting to discover. I love the level design, love the movement, but also I really wanna know whats hiding under the concrete, wanna find some cool sh!t so my roams around the map would have a reason. Seems like the game wants you to explore, but rarely you could find something that says "yeah bro, imagine you wouldve played like a normal humanbeing, followed the main track and never saw this sh!t?" For now its the only con that i could think of. Keep it up, dev, we love you
