This has to be one of the best games I've ever played. The movement is a beautiful combination of spiderman grappling hooks, iron man jet hands, and batman's glider. It takes a few minutes to get a hang of it but once you do everything is possible. I've played this game before it came out on steam and have had so much fun. There's been tournaments that've been hosted for players to show off their skills and just general fun times while playing with everyone. If you want a fun, solid, VR movement game then this is the one.
Amazing game if you don't have a sick stomach. Controls are great, boosters could be a bit more directional but amazing game.

Vertical Shift is absolutely what the VR community needed, its a fun fast passed experience, that pushes the bounds of human perception and ability. Though I would not recommend it for those new to VR but for VR veterans for whom motion sickness is a long forgotten memory, the speed is well appreciated, and absolutely the primary selling point for this game, along side well thought out, intuitive, and fluid movement, that is certainly easy to learn, but difficult to master.
Vertical Shift is an Early Access Free to play VR game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has a tutorial. You have 3 movement modes at the same time in VR, grappling hooks, glider and jet thrust. Has 4 multiplayer modes and a solo campaign. Warning: this game will cause motion sickness. Try this game, if you have an Iron stomach and love to fly like superheroes in VR.
I didn't realize how much I wanted a fast-paced and competitive VR game until I started playing this game. This fills the void that VR games never seemed to fill for me. It's super easy to learn. You have 3 methods of movement and only one method of attack. It's super fun. Tagging someoene always feels like a great accomplishment. It's super engaging. Quick reactions, keeping track of everyone on the map and predicting others' moves are just a few of the ways that this game keeps you on your toes And best of all, you feel awesome doing it. The grappling hook of Spider-man and the hand thrusters of Iron Man. You feel like a fighter pilot without the plane. It speaks volumes about this game that its biggest downside is that there aren't enough players. So download, play, and share this game!
Really good, aside from some bugs regarding the NPCs Gameplay is insane and have no problems, and the overall community is full of cool people
So far, Vertical Shift is enjoyable. There are many things in the game that could use some tweaks and improvements - and hopefully the devs will continue to make them - but none of these rather small issues were game breaking for me. Basically, it's free and it's fun! The controls are a bit odd at first, but just messing around for a few minutes will get you past that. It does have bugs and glitches, but like I said, it's free. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when it allows you to swing like Spidey, rocket like Ironman, and glide like Falcon. The quality of models and graphics in general aren't... amazing. That didn't remove any of the fun for me. I'm simple; fun > super realistic visuals. If the game cost anything, I might say it's not for everyone. I would be willing to pay ~$10 as is. Being free, I recommend anyone with VR capability just give it a go. You have nothing to lose. The movement in game may be disorienting for some and may cause motion sickness in those who are prone to it, possibly even those who don't usually have an issue. Take it in bits at first if you need to. I felt okay after an hour, but I am glad I cut it there and rested a bit. Enjoy yourselves!
fun game with great controls
