неплохая страшилка ходишь по локациям прячешься, собираешь предметы для головоломок. Сюжет более мение пойдет можно пройти за один вечер за эту цену доволен
It's an interesting game, but there are nuances. The atmosphere is really terrible, which keeps you in suspense. However, sometimes the story goes too slowly, and such moments can be confusing. There is a lack of deeper character disclosure. However, for fans of the genre, this is a great choice!
Quite a scary and atmospheric game, although it is made simply, but it draws in this gameplay, it's great, and I also bought it at a discount, I'm happy with the purchase, it clearly paid for the money with emotions
Veins of DARKNESS is a first-person psychological horror game developed and published by Langonier that builds its experience around fear of the unknown rather than constant confrontation. The story follows an employee who travels for work and is assigned to stay in what appears to be an ordinary rental home. Before long, the quiet accommodation becomes the center of terrifying supernatural events, forcing the protagonist to search for answers while trying to survive an increasingly disturbing series of encounters. The premise is simple but effective, allowing the game's atmosphere and pacing to take center stage instead of relying on an overly complicated narrative. The game excels at creating an oppressive mood through its environmental design. Every room, hallway, and forgotten corner is crafted to encourage caution, with dim lighting and unsettling details that constantly suggest danger is nearby. Rather than overwhelming players with relentless jump scares, Veins of DARKNESS uses anticipation to its advantage. Strange sounds echo through empty spaces, subtle visual changes keep players questioning what they have seen, and the feeling of being watched rarely disappears. This slower approach to horror creates lasting tension and rewards players who appreciate suspense over sudden shocks. Exploration serves as the foundation of the gameplay. Players gradually uncover the mystery by searching each location for clues, useful objects, and hidden passages while solving environmental puzzles that unlock new areas. The puzzles are designed to complement the story instead of interrupting it, requiring careful observation without becoming frustratingly complex. This balance keeps the pacing steady, alternating moments of quiet investigation with frightening supernatural encounters that push the narrative forward. Every new discovery reveals another piece of the mystery surrounding the cursed location and the sinister force hidden within it. The narrative unfolds at a measured pace, encouraging players to assemble the story themselves through environmental storytelling and scripted events. Instead of delivering lengthy explanations, the game reveals its secrets gradually, allowing curiosity to build naturally throughout the adventure. This restrained storytelling approach strengthens the psychological horror elements, as uncertainty becomes just as frightening as the creatures and paranormal events themselves. The mystery remains compelling because players are rarely given immediate answers, making each revelation feel meaningful. Mechanically, Veins of DARKNESS remains focused on immersion instead of action. Combat is not the centerpiece, allowing exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival to define the overall experience. This design choice makes every encounter feel more threatening because players cannot simply overpower every danger they face. The first-person perspective also enhances immersion by limiting visibility and increasing vulnerability, making narrow corridors, abandoned rooms, and unexpected appearances far more unsettling than they would be from a wider viewpoint. From a technical standpoint, the game presents detailed indoor environments that effectively capture the mood of an abandoned, haunted residence. Lighting and shadow effects contribute significantly to the atmosphere, while the sound design deserves equal recognition. Ambient noises, distant footsteps, unexplained whispers, and carefully timed audio cues combine to create an ever-present sense of anxiety. Even during quieter moments, the audio constantly reminds players that something unnatural may be lurking just beyond their line of sight. Although the experience succeeds as a focused horror adventure, its relatively straightforward gameplay may not satisfy players looking for deep combat systems, multiple branching paths, or extensive replay value. The game's strengths lie in its storytelling, atmosphere, and psychological tension rather than mechanical variety. Fortunately, it embraces this identity with confidence, delivering a cohesive experience that remains engaging from beginning to end without overstaying its welcome. Overall, Veins of DARKNESS is a well-crafted indie horror title that understands the importance of pacing, atmosphere, and suspense. By combining immersive exploration, satisfying environmental puzzles, strong audiovisual presentation, and a steadily unfolding supernatural mystery, it creates a memorable journey for fans of psychological horror. While its modest scope may limit long-term replayability, the quality of its atmosphere and storytelling makes it a worthwhile experience for players who enjoy slow-burning horror built on tension instead of nonstop action. Kind of what you expect with this kind of game, but there isn't anything wrong with that. Some decent ideas that I would love to see redone with a higher budget one day.
Veins of DARKNESS, an indie first-person horror game from Langonier, puts you in the shoes of a shift worker staying in a rented house on the outskirts during a business trip, only to encounter eerie events and supernatural threats. It's not a top-level horror game, but it's a fine short experience with some jump scares that deliver a basic spooky vibe. Clocking in at around one hour (or closer to 35 minutes for some), it's a quick playthrough that keeps you entertained without overcommitting. If you're into brief indie horrors like Blameless or The Last Ski Trip, this might scratch that itch, but don't expect groundbreaking scares or depth
