Proving that Steam's barrier to entry is far too low, MPB does nothing with the asset pack it was built on. It's a repurposed package sold to oblivious consumers and frankly, it won't be the last.
Normally I'd try to balance pros and cons but I can't find a single positive aspect to the game besides graphics. The controls are infuriating, almost Bennett Foddy worthy: WAD makes you run forward, but you can barely turn. S isn't backpedal, instead, it's crouch. So how do you pivot? You can't... you fight with the mouse to angle the camera and hope for the best. There are no other players, not even bots, despite its PvP selling point. The trap obstacle course has collision issues. There are no rewards to incentive playing the game (the currency is worthless). This isn't Early Access, it's barely an alpha. It shouldn't be for sale. Don't buy this, you're only helping it recover the listing fee and incentivize more like it. Achievement Hunters: Launch the game, hold W, press space, left click. ~1 min to 100%
This game is garbage. I just bought it on sale because it was on my backburner of stupid purchases because of spellcasting Palpatine. When you start this game, you immediately spawn in some castle ruins. You move with WASD... kind of. W makes you move forward as you would expect, but A and D don't make you move sideways or turn. Instead, you move forward while gradually turning left or right. This is the most "Tank controls" I have ever seen. It's not even tank controls. It's a new level of controls - It's truck controls. S makes you duck. You can't move back. You can roll by pressing space, but annoyingly, it opens that weird box up there where you can change your language, I suppose? It doesn't really work, so I dunno... By pressing the left mouse button, you can attack with either your sword or your staff. You can somewhat control the camera by moving your mouse, if you swing it around on one side (hard to explain, it's just weird). Here's an attempt to showcase the awkward controls, however, I can't really show how awkward it is to control the camera aside from me struggling, but that doesn't do it justice. It's way worse than it looks. When you're in the castle, there's really nothing to see, just an empty map with two portals next to you. One leads to the PvP area and the other to the trap level. In the PvP area, you can fight people, but first, there has to be more than one player, and that's obviously not going to happen unless you can convince your friends to play this nonsense. The trap level is just an obstacle course with spikes and swinging axes. If you reach the end of it, you get 1 gold, which you can do nothing with. Also, the map resets, but that doesn't matter since you very likely won't have more than one player playing anyway. I also kept running up things I probably shouldn't be running up on, and obstacles sometimes killed me without touching them, I think. On a more positive side, rolling seems to work, and it's very effective when trying to clear the trap level. Visually, it doesn't look too bad, but my window was really small, and I can't find a way to make it bigger. Also, the trap map has some issues that makes the game lag. In fact, you can see the same lag in the trailer. The camera, however, is horrible. I've already mentioned how awkward it is to control, but it's awful in general. It often clips into walls, making you unable to see anything. After some time, the game consistently crashes for no reason. Also, pressing ESC opens some strange glitched inventory of some sorts. Dunno... Don't buy this game. I bought it as a joke, and honestly, this game managed to avoid being boring-bad and it became funny-bad because of how much of a trainwreck it is. This game isn't worth anything in this state, and I don't expect anything to change, as is common with asset flips being thrown on Steam and forgotten about.

"Magic Pot&ter Battlegrounds" isn't a game. With a lot of good will one might call it "my first Unity project" but that's certainly nothing to sell for 8 bucks on Steam, now is it? But that's exactly what HEDE* does all the time. It starts badly with the game running in a 1024x768 window - and there's no resolution settings to be found anywhere. Hell, there are no settings to be found at all except for an always visible language dropdown that does nothing. The controls are abysmal. The character can be controlled with W, A and D but not S - there's no "backwards" here. A and D don't really work either, the character will run where the camera points to. The environment is visibly cobbled together from premade assets that don't really fit together. Apparently there's supposed to be PvP but there's none really because the Photon PUN2 implementation doesn't even connect to a server: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2739031437 The Steam implementation is laughable as well. There are three achievements you'll get within the first five seconds, but the game constantly uses SteamUserStats.StoreStats() for no reason which is something Valve doesn't like at all. Nothing here works properly. There's no game here, nothing to do except stagger around the assets like a drunken buffon thanks to the wonky controls. The header artwork on Steam is stolen from https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-wise-wizard-hd-clothes-for-genesis-8-males (check the first picture) and the game files also contain another static picture taken from the store page of an Unity asset pack. No idea if it's actually used anywhere though. Don't encourage HEDE to pollute the Steam store with even more of their trash and don't buy any of their games. If you already did try to get a refund - if need be link to this review as proof the game is false advertising (no multiplayer possible). horrible, stay away at all costs
Where do I begin with this mess? W moves you forward but not straight. You wobble to-and-fro. A and D cause you to move forward like an off-balance drunkard in either direction. S does not backpedal. It causes you to roll sometimes, though. There's no collision detection on some objects. No objectives. PvP but the code isn't implemented properly so you can't actually play against others. No bots or NPCs. One map. Not optimized. Only one resolution: 1024x768 windowed. It has a language change option that doesn't work and doesn't disappear. No menus. Nothing. Couldn't even be bothered to remove the random & in the title. Hede makes LOSEDEAD look like a top tier development studio.
