Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

US and THEM, developed by Icehole Games and published by Conglomerate 5, is a turn-based Cold War strategy game that shifts the focus of conflict away from open warfare and into the quieter, more intricate world of espionage, influence, and ideological control. Rather than commanding armies or engaging in direct battles, players take on the role of either the CIA or the KGB, competing for global dominance through subtle manipulation and long-term planning. It’s a concept that immediately distinguishes it from more traditional strategy titles, emphasizing patience and calculation over spectacle. The game unfolds on a global map divided into regions where influence can be expanded or contested. Each turn represents a period of time, during which players allocate resources, deploy agents, and execute operations designed to shift the balance of power. Success is not achieved through conquest but through destabilization, persuasion, and control. Coups, propaganda campaigns, and covert actions become the primary tools of engagement, creating a strategic environment where outcomes are often indirect and delayed. This structure encourages players to think several steps ahead, as immediate results are rare and long-term positioning is key. One of the game’s most engaging systems is its approach to managing intelligence networks. Agents can be placed across the world to build influence, and over time they become more effective in their assigned regions. However, this increased efficiency comes with heightened risk. The longer an agent operates, the more likely they are to be discovered, forcing players to constantly evaluate whether to maintain their position or withdraw before exposure. This balance between growth and vulnerability adds a layer of tension that runs throughout the game, making each decision feel significant. Beyond espionage, US and THEM incorporates a variety of interconnected systems that reflect the broader dynamics of the Cold War. Economic strength, technological advancement, nuclear capability, and participation in the Space Race all contribute to overall influence. These elements are not isolated; they interact in ways that require careful management and prioritization. Players must decide whether to focus on expanding their intelligence network, investing in technological progress, or strengthening their global presence through diplomacy and ideology. This layered approach gives the game a sense of depth, even if it can be overwhelming at first. Historical figures play a role in shaping the experience, appearing as unique assets that can influence events or provide strategic advantages. Their inclusion adds a sense of personality and context to the otherwise abstract systems, grounding the game in its historical setting. At the same time, the game allows for alternate outcomes, creating scenarios that diverge from real-world events and giving players the opportunity to reshape history through their actions. Despite its strengths, the game faces several challenges that affect its accessibility and overall appeal. The pacing is deliberately slow, reflecting the nature of the Cold War, but this can lead to stretches where progress feels minimal. Turns often involve careful planning without immediate feedback, which may test the patience of players accustomed to faster-paced strategy games. While this methodical approach suits the theme, it can make the experience feel drawn out. The interface is another area where the game struggles. Information is not always presented clearly, and navigating the various systems can feel cumbersome. For new players, this lack of clarity can create a steep learning curve, as understanding how different mechanics interact requires time and experimentation. The game does little to guide players through its systems, which can make the initial experience feel more confusing than engaging. Visually, US and THEM adopts a functional but unremarkable style. The world map and menus are designed for clarity rather than aesthetic impact, resulting in a presentation that feels dated. While this does not detract from the core gameplay, it does limit the sense of immersion, especially when compared to more modern strategy titles that offer dynamic visuals and feedback. What ultimately defines US and THEM is its commitment to simulating a complex historical period through layered systems and indirect conflict. It offers a perspective on strategy that is rarely explored, focusing on influence and subtlety rather than direct confrontation. When its systems align, it provides a thoughtful and engaging experience that rewards careful planning and long-term thinking. In the end, US and THEM is a niche strategy game that excels in concept but is held back by its presentation and accessibility. It offers depth and originality for those willing to invest the time to understand its mechanics, but its slow pacing and outdated interface may limit its broader appeal. For players interested in Cold War strategy and methodical gameplay, it can be a rewarding experience, even if it requires patience to fully appreciate. Rating: 6/10

This is a game of cold war spys trying to take over the world from the other side. Though it is very simple, it is not easy to know what to do and how to do it. It starts in 1965, yet they have odd regime choices. They have, for example, Angola and Afghanistan among others socialist. They were not socialist until after 1975. As the US, I was in an ever worsening deficit with no descernable way to influence it. I used auto placement of my spies, but then could never find where they went. After 3 or 4 months the world was quickly turning 'red'. So, it was an exercise in frustration. 25/100

Tags: Boards & Cards Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Low quality RISK-style board game. Conceptually interesting with Cold War and Espionage thematic. Poor execution. Waste of excellent historical footage and art assets. Worldmap with stars or communist flags. You can do interventions to reclaim territory and try to dominate the planet. Some research. Tech tree had lots of little espionage things but it is not clear what you use them for. There were also wonder-type projects with same issue. The user interface was kind of amateur with large squares and pictures in them flatly presented to you. I played as america but for some strange reason my HUD was red and using my military turned people communist if I succeded. I think this game might be broken. Either way I was not too impressed, aside from capturing territories it seems espionage algorithm hack at each other in the background with modifiers. Meh.
Sehr unterhaltsam, leider nicht sinderlich umfangreich. Es gibt nur 2 kampagnen. Ein Soiel dauert nur bis zu 2 Stunden.
