About
You are a knight honorable, brave, and bound to the kingdom. But this is no ordinary day in the realm.
As dawn breaks over the medieval kingdom, you and your fellow knights prepare to uphold your duties: to patrol the forests, guard the castle gates, and protect the people. Each knight stands by your side, sworn to the same codes of loyalty and valor. Or so you thought…
But whispers have spread across the realm. Under you walks an infiltrator, hiding behind a knight’s armor and waiting for the right moment to strike. This imposter, clever and ruthless, has one goal—to dismantle the Order from within and carry out a dark mission. Trust begins to crumble as you look to your comrades with suspicion. The question haunts every conversation, every glance: Who is the undercover infiltrator hiding under us?
Your quest will take you deep into the heart of this medieval world, across winding forest trails and bustling village streets. Each day brings a series of duties: you’ll defend villagers from outlaws, protect royal secrets, and, above all, stay vigilant for any sign of betrayal. As you carry out these noble tasks, every word spoken and action taken by those around you takes on a new, ominous weight.
But the infiltrator is cunning. They blend in, playing the role of a loyal knight, all while weaving distrust, watching your every move, and waiting to strike. Your choices could mean the difference between victory and defeat, honor and disgrace.
In Undercover, trust is the rarest currency. As you move through this medieval world, each decision, each word, and each glance could be your last. Gather your courage, ready your sword, and remember—true honor lies not just in victory, but in survival.

It is a really nice game to play with friends. It is still a little buggy at times. But all in all, I can only recommend it.
kann ganz lustig mit Freunden sein

Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

Warning: Asset Flip! This game is not sincerely made, but a collection of ripped off assets from asset stores.

Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This was some kind of hamfisted attempt to make a hideous Minecraft ripoff voxel looking Among Us ripoff that nobody really wanted. It failed. So, "Undercover" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The developers used disgusting, lazy, talentless AI slop to try advertise the game... gamers despise AI slop, using it is a direct insult to gamers and acted in this case as a further deterrent. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. And I've seen almost identical assets in a bunch of other asset flips. There's no hard evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Developers must learn that Minecraft succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This product is hooked into Steams "Totally not NFTs" Community Marketplace/Inventory, which means you can buy and sell and trade "tokens" (fungible ones in this case) for real world money, and you can "earn" these tokens by playing the game. This is never done with the interests of gamers in mind, the "developer" behind this gets paid for every trade, and has presumbly also farmed up a bunch of the items to sell on the market, too. This kind of Steam abuse, combined with a minimum-viable-product non-game, does no service to gamers whatsoever. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead. The use of AI slop is a direct insult to gamers and real, ethical content creators and artists everywhere.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer pukes out a word salad of offensive, self-incriminating, rambling confessions. The first thing the developer wants everyone to know is that they are "The Main Character". You, as a gamer, don't matter. They breach Valve guidelines for developers just to complain about a fully accurate and informative review (with facts their ego doesn't like). It's evident from their attitude that they never created this product with gamers in mind. They did so to stroke their own ego. When developers, especially failed ones who would never be able to get a professional job in the industry, put themselves before gamers, we end up with garbage products like this. That explains how this trash ended up on Steam, but it doesn't excuse it. At least we finally got to meet The Main Character, and nobody else matters. The developer response provides a slew of reasons why this was not a sincerely developed game. The developer admits this is a disgusting asset flip. The developer admits this is AI slop. The developer, psychotically, sees no problems with these disgusting anti-gamer, industry hostile moves. The developer claims this is their first time trying to make a game. If I went to a restaurant, got sick from eating bad food, and got told "The chef is new and has never cooked food before", would that make it okay? No, it wouldn't. The developer supplied a very valid reason why this should never have been put up for sale on Steam in the first place. Apparently this crap is a "learning experience" because nobody ever published a game on Steam before and nobody ever read the documentation so it's impossible to know how it can be done.. utter BS. There's over 130,000 games on this platform. We are not here to be crapped on by developers who don't know what they're doing and need to publish crap on Steam Direct to see if it can be done or not. See why this guys main character problem is so harmful? The developer admits they didn't hire a team of talented staff to produce the game and tried to do the whole thing on their own, instead. This is a lot like boarding an airplane, and halfway through the flight, having the pilot come out and serve peanuts. It's going to end in disaster. It requires a team of competent people to do a complex job properly, and that's not what has happened here... another explanation for the poor quality of this game. The developer brazenly admits they're plagiarising... they took someone else's assets, and put their own name on them, trying to get famous for someone else's work. When developers do this, they position themselves as having their name against those assets... it's 100% plagiarism. If they used someone else's work in a Hollywood movie, they'd be sued into the ground and never work in the industry again. They're tacitly telling gamers because this is their game, the assets are also theirs. The developer lies about ther intention to profit from this, and at the same time admits they failed to profit from this disgusting asset flip and AI slop. The developers failure and incompetence was never in question, it's self evident. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered, but I have added additional notes to better warn gamers about this appalling, unethical developer/
Alors... Même quand je vais faire popo y'a pas autant de "popos" (apparemment ça censure le mot CHIER)
