Undaunted Normandy

When you charge 16EUR for an alpha or beta, I don't feel to bad to give my honest opinion. So here you have it. Obviously, it comes with a ton of bugs. Bot doesn't do its actions after initiative fase, trophies are mostly broken, and I'm not sure the tutorial should have been completed or not, but you cannot continue after the 5th or 6th step. Completely broken. Also, it just has a wall of text and 0 pictures. So you read a load of text on how you should read a game card or tile without actually showing one. Weird... Then you have the graphics. I think enough has been said already about this topic. It's bad. Very bad. All in all the summary is this; A game that is about as sexy as an Excel spreadsheet that should be doing better than a certain tabletop simulator mod but fails to do so.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game at this time. I very much would like to, and I will gladly revisit and update this review once certain changes are in place. Specifically, the way PvP works right now is basically unplayable. You cannot see your opponent make moves, and can only join in "view" mode while someone is in "play" mode. To enter "play" mode, they must actually back out of the game and then you can join in "play" mode to take your turn. Also, you can only do this when it's your turn to play. Thus, the game is extremely asynchronous, making it an uncomfortable chore to play against a friend. This is inexplicable to me and I'm surprised that more reviews don't mention it. On top of that, it took my friend and I almost 20 minutes to figure out that this was the case, wondering why one of us was unable to interact with the board. The graphics are passable in 2D mode; the 3D graphics are utterly extraneous. The developers should focus on PvP playability as the top priority. Then, general graphical polish would be nice. I can't speak for the AI in the game because I got this to play against a friend. We both decided not to play it again until the PvP is fixed.

The visuals is an absolute mess at the moment even though they claim they just added high resolution textures. (where?) At 4k resolution its a blurry mess and the game pieces are hard to identify. I am referring to the 2d (boardgame) setting as the 3d version is an even bigger joke. The Tabletop Simulator version of this game look a million times better so there is no excuse for this lacklustre effort.

Fun game

Pretty good version of the board game. Would be better if there was a campaign. Can't recommend now because it freezes a lot. Sometimes you have to exit the game entirely and reload it to continue with the scenario. I've played about a dozen scenarios and a third of them I had to reload at least once. Also, the AI is pretty bad at normal level.

okay so sucks to suck nerds i purchased to make a review ..... its so sad i have every one of these board games i love them all dearly--- this is such a waste of what could have been a sick nasty game. the graphics are from 1991 the fact that the box cover inst even crisp is awful the troop movements are terrible but if you love love this game feel free to join a server where most lobbies are private and hardly any one plays ---- is it worth 15 bucks NNOO is it worth 5 maybe . if they clean it up i will correct my post accordingly but until then i regretfully must say this game is a no go

Have the boardgame and its quite close....cannot wait to be multiplayer
