Oh my god this game is so peak. I'd say that this game has the best story out of any game I've played. It made me cry, speaking as someone who doesn't cry easily.
The story feels so organic, real and so carefully written. The dialogue is the most natural dialogue I've seen in a video game, and it makes the characters, and hence the story, feel incredibly organic and real. I think that might be part of why the emotional moments hit so hard. I could tell that the writers poured their hearts into the story with how it feels so human and emotional.
I'd say that the way of storytelling that this game uses is super unique, and it's probably not for everyone. It really struck with me personally though. It can feel fast-paced, and also sometimes random and spontaneous. That can make it feel a little messy at times, but I personally really enjoyed that messiness. It also often leaves stuff unexplained, which kind of is how things work in real life, so I think that actually adds to the realness of the story.
The humor in this game also worked incredibly well with me. I feel like this game is almost Deltarune level funny at times maybe It can feel really silly and funny when it wants to be, and I think that's really awesome.
I enjoyed most of the story, but the ending in particular was so unbelievably peak. It was genuinely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I agree with the sentiment that if you buy this game, you *have* to get through to the ending.
The rhythm game segments and the arcade mode are incredibly fun to play. It's a two-button game, and it's really intuitive and easy to understand. However, it has an incredibly high skill ceiling at the same time. There's also really good rating system that tracks you skill level, which incentivized me to keep improving (and it's really fun to see my improvements reflected on my rating score!)
This game also have some optional minigames, some fun and some unfun. They're mostly optional though (unless you're going for all achievements or all items), so I didn't have an issue with them!! They're generally great additions to the game in my opinion. And moving and jumping around the overworld, talking to people and doing quests are also really fun to me!
The music is also great! The songs in this game has really grown on me since I started playing....
The game might have some performance issues if your PC isn't that good, but changing the settings for framerate and resolution helped a lot for me. Still got my CPU above 80C sometimes though, even with an external fan.
