After about an hour of gameplay, I can say that the start is quite challenging, which keeps things interesting. One thing I noticed is that wages don't seem to change much—they feel a bit static. Other than that, everything is great! I especially loved the music. The game flows fast and has a high tempo, so you really need to stay on your toes to keep up! :D
I've had this game on my wishlist for long time. Bought it the second I saw it was out. It completely lives up to its promises and has huge room for improvement. Even in its current state, it's so much fun to play. I'm really excited to see where it goes with upcoming updates.
Purchasing this, I didn't exactly know what to expect especially for the price. This "game" feels hastely put together. It lacks almost everything, somehow every button works. For the gameplay aspects: You have research, production, sales and charts. You can research technology that you then choose in the production menu. In the production menu you choose what you want to put in the car with a dropdown menu and give your abomination a name and then a number to produce and what price to sell the car at. After that you wait until all units are produced and then go to the sales menu and choose a country to sell to. After 5 seconds all cars are sold and you rinse and repeat the same process for how long you endure it. You can save the design for the car but everytime you want to reproduce the car to sell, you create a new "variant" of it, you can't automate it or just produce more of it. The visuals of it all are somewhat between pixelart, drawn by a child and downloaded for free. As of right now, cannot recommend buying this at all. Maybe once the dev gets behind and updates everything it might be a consideration for my fellow spreadsheet & management fans. For the dev, don't take this personal but it's just nowhere a finished product, even for the price. My recommendation would be: Fully redesign the GUI (everything feels off and empty) Redo the settings menu Change the way production works so one can actually setup a production chain maybe Make the game more engaging by actually having a goal but "produce" Also one thing to add, I played on a 49" screen with picture by picture mode set to 75/25, game running on the 75% side. There was a huge black sidebar on both sides and I couldn't find an option to actually fit it to the screen which tells me that nobody playtested it on a different setup.
I tried, I really did try and like this game. I was a HUGE fan of the game Detroit in the 90's and this one looks a great deal like it. Problem is, I designed a car, produce 10 of them and sold them all. Now I cannot build anymore of that model car. Makes no sense to abandon a car that sells. This game is so not what I thought it was going to be. Another disappointment from a game company putting out a product and expecting us as gamers to deal with it. This is getting very tiresome.
