About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

Absolutely awesome. Skill Based, Free to play, no pay to win, Armor based penetration damage. its everything I have ever wanted.
Very fun tank shooter with a variety of different tanks that each play their own style & niche. Wholeheartedly recommended.
Great game, especially since its free!
das Spiel macht vieles richtig. Da kann sich WOT mal ein Beispiel nehmen. Es fehlt nur noch Deutsche Übersetzung und PvE Modus.
Its okay. Its nothing special. Its a free game that you cna play for some time. Youre taeammates are as stupid tho
Tyr is a blend of Valorant and World of Tanks
But it's so much more fun to play. The matches are short, averaging at around 7 minutes. Que times are okay, servers run well. I'm impressed by how good the netcode is. It doesn't feature an invasive anticheat , unlike Valorant. Since most of the game is server-side and there isn't even a theoretical way of implementing ESP (due to visibility mechanic) or aimbot (due to accuracy being somewhat random until you stay still for a while) it likely won't feature anything even remotely resembling easy anti cheat, let alone vanguard.
The game features heavy discord integration
clans require discord account linking, as does the chat functionality. Tyr's discord server also appears in the game's front page, and the game wants you to use it a lot. This is, unfortunately, a big downside. Their discord server is something I'd avoid . So far, I haven't seen any active balancing (reducing your damage if you play well and increasing damage if you're on a loosing streak - something call of duty, and likely other titles too, does)
Massively fun, quick matches, tanks aren't stuck in battle when lost, no buyback or repair costs. No pay to win ammo or tank. No up-tiers, everything plays in the same sandbox! Skill tree progression is well paced, AND IT'S FREE!!!!! TYR fixes every issue that drove me away from WoT and WT. Get this game. Do it, do it now.
