About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

free funny tank game
I like this game. WoT in Sci-Fi with Special Attacks. Nice. Stupid maps, tho.
Pretty fun and free to play.
Absolutely phenomenal game. I am buying the Founder's Pack as soon as I can! Peak Gameplay not just with friends, but convincing pubbies to go with the meme and then winning anyway!
250 hours in playtests, it's a good game, but I don't like it in its current state. It's in early access, and new players will quickly leave. A new player will come in, see a few tanks, play three maps at a time, lose three matches to win one. You can literally max out all your tanks in one weekend and have nothing to do. Ranked matches are only on Saturdays and Sundays; a random player won't even know when the ranked matches are. There's also no balance; new players end up on tryhards, and the ping is still crazy. There are no quests either, only five matches, and that's it. What will change in this one? A large patch, one tank map, and maybe a different mode? In how long, 1-2 months? I'm guessing. I've played bigger and smaller games... too few players... If the game survives 2-3 months and continues to have a similar player base, I'll change my review to a positive one, and I admit that something keeps those players here. I only play this game, and I'm a masochist when there aren't many of them, and I like to get 50x, then 100x, then 1000x the same medal, but there are only a handful of players like that. Star Conflict is dying, so I have a temporary replacement. I recommend this Founder Pack; it's always a bit of gold for cosmetics.
Played two of the many Game tests, Now that its released i can whole heartedly recommend Tyr to those of you who like me suffered literal decades at the hands of Wargaming and Gaijin both. If you need something to scratch that itch leaving those games behind. This will do it. At least, It did for me.
Remember when Overwatch was still good? Like 2016 Overwatch. This makes me feel like that.
I don't usually leave reviews but this is such a gem I just have to. Gameplay reminds me of Tanki X which I played a bunch before it closed down in ~2021, have had an itch for a similar game and boy does TYR do it, not only that but it does it BETTER. Get TYR ASAP !!! F2P AND awesome gameplay and tanks !!!
Very fun, balanced, and polished game. Especially for being a free game. It's like World of Tanks/War Thunder without all the hard to access complexity, and a hero shooter combined. Also very well optimized which is rare for nowadays. 30 Hours in the playtest alone, and I would've put plenty more if I had the time.
