Twilight Town: A Cyberpunk Day In Life is a chill, linear visual novel set in an ambient yet melancholic town in the distant future. Play as Ikuro and work with all kinds of shady figures to take care of your personal robot companion you're so hopelessly in love with.

A short VN from Nikita Kryukov, who made Milk Inside a Bag of Milk Inside a bag of Milk, is about a gambling addict guy trying to fund his AI wife project. It is pretty funny yet dark in the same time.

Rating: Dito: 3.3/5 Chat: 3.27/5 Gesamt: 3.29/5
I don't know if they changed the description or something (had this in my library a while) but I was expecting this to be more of an 'edgy cyberpunk adventure story' rather than a 'creepy depressed man story'. The writing is pretty juvenile and painful, and not worth the time. The art, animation and music are really good though.
The pixel art is absolutely gorgeous, the characters are memorable, and the soundtrack is decent. The story also starts off really strong and had me genuinely invested in what was going to happen next. Unfortunately, the story doesn't feel finished. Around the halfway point the game suddenly shifts its focus and becomes filled with sexual jokes and conversations. None of it is explicit (just words), but it quickly starts overshadowing the actual plot. Some moments are genuinely hilarious,
like when Sei casually reveals she somehow has 20 GB of ♥♥♥♥ pics stored on her storage. Whaaat the.. that's wild 😂
Still, those kinds of jokes become so frequent that they end up taking away from what could have been a much stronger story. It's a shame because the game has a lot of potential. If it had stayed focused on its narrative instead of leaning so heavily into the sexual humor, I think I would have enjoyed it much more. Sadly, I can't really recommend it in its current state.
✔️ Played on Steam Deck, it works fine (27/12/2025). 'A' button to advance text and touchscreen for menu. If the author were to expand on this concept and turn it into something more developed and elaborate I would definitely be interested in reading it.
This is a short story that could pass as a pilot for an anime, the story is well written. I was skeptical at first during the opening sequence as the story was attempting to establishing its narrative, setting, and cast, however, its writing really shone through. It really felt like a traditional visual novel that you'd come to expect from Japan. The music is great and the art style is cute. I highly recommend it. This 'series' also contains some shooters which i'm excited to play and leave a review on, in their respective games.
absolute cinema
Cozy, absorbing story set in a futuristic world filled with struggles. The protagonist faces money problems rooted in his bond with an AI robot he cares for. It follows his attempts to kinda leave gambling behind, all while battling insecurities about affording memory cards to keep his AI companion functional. Note: It's kinda of a intro to the story, if you wanna have the full story you'll need the sequels.
