needs PLENTY of bug fixes. nowhere near as polished as library or supermarket.

fun game until ya find spinach sailor season 1 and then it just gets awkward
Eh. I really wanted to like this one but I unfortunately don't. The skill tree makes it look like you have a degree of control over the order in which you unlock skills, but you do not. Some of the skills are completely useless imo. Plus, yes, the extreme overuse of AI. The game is DRAGGING ASS for me, it's so slow and not fun. I will say that a lot of my 6 hours was AFK so I don't actually have 6 hours of play time. But still. I'll probably finish it because I'm a stubborn ass, but we'll see. I might not.
I really thought I would like this game more than I did. The skills being locked and needing to be unlocked in a certain order really killed it for me, some of the "skills" being pretty useless. I don't need a map in my inventory, the store isn't big I can just walk over and look at it. Besides that, the tapes are pretty much completely AI generated and the titles are trying to be funny and falling very flat.
Too many categories wasted on sports. Art isn't great, sure. But honestly my biggest gripe was really just the fact that there were too many sports things and at some point, I just lost interest in looking at basically the same thing over and over.
Would not recommend to anyone. It was quite apprent to my duo and I that all of the cover art on the tapes were AI generated anlong with the controls being weird. Id honestly like my 5 minutes and 5 dollars back and will be refunding this game I DO NOT RECOMEND!!!!
TV Archive is very much like Librarian, but makes several mistakes compared to Librarian. My main issue is that in TV Archive, you level up too slow (plus the order in which you unlock the skills is almost fixed, so you can't level up one skill first). You have to shelf half the tapes manually before the skills are strong enough to be useful. The skill that highlights tapes that match the tape in your hand - even when fully levelled up - turns off so quickly, that using it is always a race against time. This is stressful in a game that I want to play for some peace and calm. In Librarian, the covers of the books from the same category are similar to each other, so you can collect books that need to go to the same shelf even without reading the titles. In TV Archive, the covers are too distinct for that, which slows you down even more. On top of that, the covers and titles of the tapes are boringly generic and AI generated, where the books in Librarian have funny titles. Bottom Line: Better play Librarian or Supermarket Chaos. If you really like that kind of game, you might like TV Archive enough, but I don't think I will play TV Archive a second time.
I have only played solo on this game, but I find the atmosphere and music very calming. However I have found that I often lose track of time while playing it lol. I had to complete the game 3 times in order to get all the achievements as one of them is to finish the game with no power-ups. What it doesn’t tell you is if you do the short tutorial at the start, you have already lost that achievement as one of the steps is to use a power-up. I like the play on titles, but some of them do not fit the timeline the game is supposed to take place. I have watched movies that I have thrown go into the floor and either find them floating in the air or have to reset movies in order to get them back but this is normal for this type of game.
